Faye let out a tired groan as she heard her iphone alarm blaring beside her.
She felt too lazy to move, and with a deep sigh, she let her hand drop to silence the persistent ringing. She sniffed as she lay face-first into the silk pillows of her bed. Her covers were loose and barely hanging on the sides of her mattress, and she was too exhausted to make any effort to fix them. The warmth of the bed and the weight of her worries kept her trapped in her covers, her heart aching with the knowledge that she had to face the world again today.
Faye had been up all night unboxing everything in her room, decorating it until she was satisfied with the way it looked. She was mentally exhausted from the world, having reached her limit with the way life treated her. Her legs felt fragile and wobbly as she tried to get out of bed, but she forced herself out because she knew she had to face the day ahead. She felt sluggish and tired despite the night of hard work, unable to shake off the tired feeling. She wanted to call her friend Cassie but was too exhausted to even bother her. She felt like she was suffocating under the weight of the world.
"i'll j-just..c-call her."

Faye felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her She felt mentally and emotionally drained, and she knew that calling Cassie would just make things worse. Her body felt like a rock as she slowly dragged herself and grabbed her phone. She was so tired that it felt like she hadn't slept at all, and the thought of doing anything felt pointless.
