Hamil awoke from his nightmarish dream into an even more disturbing place, although his eyes hadn't adjusted to the bright light as of yet and his vision was still blurry he could tell what kind of place he was in.
Distant chatter gave him the assurance he wasn't alone in this, but the cold metal frame of the bed he was on stripped it away as he tried to sit up the matress creaked and folded on its rusty home.

A man in a black suit walked in, admiring the decor and placing a silver engraved machete on a counter before turning to face Hamil, the red accents on his three piece danced like fire in the light, a sharp contrast to his toned and heavily tattood chest
"Now. boy. my men found you by a manhole three days ago, you sleep like a dead man and still expect to be treated for your wounds?" The man had a heavy turkish accent and yet could speak fluent english.

Hamil stuttered, unable to figure out what was happening "Y-Yes. yes i'd appreciate being...treated? for what though"
The guards around the man question him about something he couldnt understand, right before the turkish disregards them from the room.
"You were bitten. by an alpha no less."
The man, whose name was known as Rais, lifted Hamils trouser leg to show him a wound. the area on his shin was a grey-green colour as the centre has deep, sharp incisions in a circle with dried blood and pus caked on around it.
"See. youre infected without a doubt. you need Antizin or you will die here."

Hamil looked at his leg silently, his lip quiverring and his eyes wide.
"so youre telling me i havent got time?"
he stared at Rais with fear and a deep sadness
The older...not so gentleman responded briefly
"no. no you are not."
He held a gun-like object to Hamils arm. it stung for a few seconds before being removed.
"there. a week of time is all i can get you for now. its only one vial. now get up"
Rais lifted Hamil to his feet and walked with him into a large room.

"MEN. WOMEN. We have a new member. his name is...hm...We will learn his name when it is necessary. for now i must visit my brother. orient him."
Rais left Hamil and walked away, cleaning his blade.
Surrounded by armed, menacing figures, the boy looked out of place.
the others talked to eachother, sometimes about him, othertimes not.

"Oi kid"
The muffled vocals of a figure in a fully opaque gas mask eminated behind him as a hand crept onto his shoulder
"Y-Yes?" Hamil turned to look at them, a person just slightly taller than him. by a few inches at most. donning the full mask, a tactical belt, holster and military boots over the top of a black and yellow camouflaged khaki unifirm.
"I go by Smoker. anyway, im here to take you to the newbies room."
Hamil nodded and stayed silent, having to limp behind Smoker in order to stay close and not get lost in the corridors.

After around five minutes of walking
him and Smoker walk through a door into an almost empty bedroom, the wallpaper torn at the bottom and a dusty carpet. on the far side was a build in kitchen with a sink, oven and basic storage cupboards, to the right of the kitchen was a small bathroom with a toilet, shower and a mirror.

"like the room, recruit? if you dont well then you and your roomie can change anything you want. but no handouts haha." Smoker coughed a little after laughing. "its fine...we're all infected here. 'cept for the boss."
Smoker laughed and walked away.

Hamil stared at the door before looking around the room, he looked towards the bed. a high bed with a desk below. "guess this is where ill be sleeping from now on"
He noticed a piece of paper on the desk. getting closer he leaned over and read it: 'Yo newbie, or whoever reads this. theres gear in the bathroom. get changed. -Smoker'
Hamil sighed before going and getting into a black top and khaki jeans, leaving his musty, bloody clothes on the floor.

Hamil washed his face in the kitchen sink, his olive skin being restored after the blood stains wash off.  He then grabbed a sponge and gently cleaned the bite on his leg, allowing the infection to subside and the discharge to fade. "Ow...okay...that hurt a bit"

Hamil walked over to the desk and found a book in the top right draw, he opened it and looked through the pages, each one a record of previous owners and how they died. The book was promtly shut by Hamil and returned to its draw, he stood up and climbed the bed ladder to lay down on the mattress under a sheet.

He fell asleep as Smoker waited outside the room, making sure that he didnt freak out, they walked away back to the canteen.
