Part 7

Y/N's POV

"So, what's your name?" Chocol asked out of the blue.

My heart fluttered for a brief minute. I know that it sounds stupid, but you can't blame me. I thought that she wasn't curious about me at all. That's why upon hearing her asking what my name was, my lips curved into a smile.

"It's Y/N." I responded.

"Why?" I asked to keep the conversation going and also to discard the silence between us inside the car.

I may sound audacious right now but that did not bother me. Since this moment is fleeting, I reasoned with myself, why not seize the opportunity to continue the conversation?

"What do you mean why?" With a sense of confusion in her voice, Chocol asked.

"I mean.. I wasn't expecting that a famous person like you would be curious about my name." I stated, resting my chin on my hand and gazing at the view through the window.

"I would naturally be interested in knowing your name since we have previously crossed paths a few times and you have stated that you are one of my fans, didn't you?" Chocol responded and chuckled softly in return.

"Yes.. I did say that.." I replied meekly out of embarrassment.

Why did Chocol have to mention that part..! I mean, I really am a fan of hers, but her question just caught me off guard. I was feeling so embarrassed that I responded awkwardly to her question.

Chocol's POV

Her response was said weakly so I turned my head to check whether she was doing alright, but I sensed something else instead. Her cheeks were of a hue of pink, avoiding my gaze.

"Haha, We bumped into each other a few times already, don't you think it's fate?" I asked to check her reaction with a lopsided grin.

I want her to be comfortable and simply be herself, therefore I don't want her to be excessively polite with me so I teased her with a question.

"F-fate..?!"

Y/N's eyes widened upon hearing my silly question and she sent out vague movements while her cheeks became even more pink than before.

She really is intriguing.

"Pfft... Calm down, I was just joking." Her panicked yet endearing response made me smile from the corners of my lips and chuckle.

We were almost at her location and while driving, I noticed a convenience store and decided to stop by to buy some things.
