Believe it or not, she loves him dearly; but is she worthy of his feelings?
Raven happened to be up and awake in the middle of the night, wearing her olive green and purple pajamas, as she contemplated things on her own while her room was illuminated by a star projector lamp that had been given to her by Beast Boy as a Christmas gift.
She should be sleeping by now, but the thought of the changeling doesn't allow her to do so. His charm, his goofy smile, his funny and uplifting personality that shine through and give color to what she describes as her monochrome nature. Not only that, she loves the fangs of him and guess what? She also digs the ears.
But despite her gradually growing feelings for him, she doesn't want to get her hopes up and expect the best. After all, Raven is aware of what she did in the past with him.
At their first meeting, he was funny, she admitted. But during their days as teenagers, she often threw him off the tower or into another dimension. Well, sometimes he deserved it, but that didn't mean she didn't feel remorseful. She needed to keep her powers in check or else the world would end after all.
When she was finally freed from her father, Trigon, and able to control her powers better, her feelings for him began to blossom as well. Raven knew that Beast Boy stole glances at him from time to time. Little did he know, she also did the same. But just like him, she also had a hard time looking away from him and his grown and muscular body that translated very well to him, not just because of the chance of getting caught but also because she knew she couldn't look away ever again if she did and that was embarrassing and not something she liked.
Until this very moment, she hadn't told him her feelings for him just yet. She had the right to worry, as all of the things she had done to him from the past made her undeserving and an idiot, not that she admitted it to him personally. Other than that, he's known for being a chick magnet; whenever they beat the villains on a daily basis, he is always swarmed by multiple women at his age asking for either an autograph, a picture, or a kiss, and Raven never felt so jealous and irritated in her entire life. She asked her own emotions inside the Nevermore for love advice, and it was rather split between taking the initiative herself or letting just wait for him to do that himself, and that left her to her current predicament.
Frustrated, she cuddled the giant white chicken and held a gold coin she had received from Beast Boy. Nobody knew this, but ever since the time after she defeated Trigon, she started hugging the giant chicken every time she went to sleep. She couldn't help but feel comforted and warm, which helped her sleep better. On a daily basis, she would examine the gold coin for herself. At first, she didn't believe in its luck, but after receiving it as a lucky charm during the Trigon event, she realized that perhaps she was the luckiest girl in the world after all.
From that moment, she made up her mind. The next day, she would tell him her feelings and she wanted to see it through, no matter what happened. She wouldn't let anyone or anything interrupt their very intimate moment; she would regret it if they didn't.
One thing is certain for her: She will tell him she loves him and hope he says it back to her too.
