While signing some documents on my office table, I heared a knock so I stopped on my tracks.

I got up from my seat and walk towards a large portrait of a woman that's smiling preciously while holding a little girl that seemingly happy.

"Magkamukhang-magkamukha na talaga sila ngayon, master. Don't you agree?"

He said. Even if I don't turn around, I could guess that he's smiling ear to ear when he said that.

Upon his remarks, it's not bad to my ears at all. My lovely Avi turned out to be a gracious and gorgeous woman. Just like her mother, my beloved wife.

Due to her sickness and disease, even the high ranking priest and previous mage tower owner couldn't find a way to cure her.

I held her hands and didn't even bother to wipe my tears up.

Instead of her harmony voice answer, she only gave me a smile. Not a happy one but a sad one. Not just a sad one, the farewell smile one.

"I-i hate to leave you too. You know h-how much I love the three of you and our pe-people. I couldn't even witness our baby Tycia grow up...please ke-keep her away from sadness and pain. If y-you don't, I might divorce you in the name of god from the heaven."

She jokingly retorted. Even though sadness filled up my entire emotion, I smiled at her with reassurance as a sign to fulfill her request.

"Do you--" Another coughs interrupted her from speaking. And to my fear, after she retracted her hand from her mouth, it has blood trickling down to her arm.

"Promise me, that you'll take a good care of our precious Tycia and Adyscious alright?"

She seriously uttered without stammering through single word. She stared directly into my eyes while waiting for my answer.

Her dull golden eyes that previously shimmering brightly like a golden sun was expectantly waiting for me to agree.

So I did.

She gave me a precious satisfied smile while her eyes lits up because of my answer. It's a sight worth to see.

Because that's the last smile she gave me. A very precious one.

A smile until her eyes meets her own eyelids. Although she can't see it, I also gave her the smile even when my tears couldn't stop from escaping off down my face.

And now, my beloved wife is still resting by now while watching us. I could feel that she's very near yet far to reach and difficult to be held and hug again.

With Gaston's statements, a form of smile appeared on my lips.
