Should I Quit This Job?

Monday Morning....

Path resumed work very early in the morning and D.baba held a meeting on her behalf.

At the meeting...

"Good morning everyone" D.baba said

"Good morning D.baba" the staffs said

"Okay as we all know there is a new face among us, I know she looks familiar, she is Pathway Ajibade, and she would start working here from today on" D.baba said

"Like Pathetic? Like Wrongpath? The lady who almost ruined your reputation?" One of the staffs asked in shock

"She didn't almost ruin my reputation, everything that happened, happened due to negligence and mistake" D.baba replied

"D.baba.... this is risky, I heard companies are turning her down so she would not ruin the reputation of their companies... We don't want anybody who would ruin ours" the manager said expressing his concern

"Like I said, everything that happened, happened due to negligence and mistake, it wasn't intentional" D.baba said

"Our company is at stake whether intentional or not!!!" The manager said

"Our company or my company?" D.baba asked

As they kept arguing, Pathway watched them in so much sadness. She then stood up to say;

"Good morning everyone" Immediately she said this, everyone kept quiet to hear what she was about to say.

"Good morning everyone, I know you all don't like me and you don't want me to ruin your reputation and I understand from everyone perspective but do you all know that by turning me down will cause my family to starve? My father is an ordinary carpenter, my mom doesn't have a better work she is doing, they struggled so hard to make me a graduate and they did all that so when I'm done with school, I would repay them back once I get a suitable job. This job means a lot to me because my family is dependent on me... If you decide not to give me, it's fine, I will leave but don't forget the suffering you are going to cause to my family, don't forget while you are eating at home, my family and I will be hungry" Path said

The staffs felt so much pity for her because her statement touched her.

"Is there anything anybody has to say?" D.baba asked

Nobody responded.

"Okay good, everyone resume back to work. Manager lead Path to her office" D.baba said

Everybody left.

Path's office is directly at the front of D.baba's office.

D.baba called his manager, Path and SJ who came visiting.

"As we all know I just made a new movie called Mail and I'm the main character. The premiere is on Friday night, what do you think are the things I need to do or plan before the day? The event planner has gotten everything settled, there will be invitation cards but what do you think I need to do to make people see me as a very nice person?" D.baba said as he asked

"Hmmnn... Propose to Pinky" the manager replied

SJ started laughing hard while D.baba stared at his manager as if he was going to give him a blow.
Path stared at D.baba, expecting a response from him, hoping for a no.
Then she thought about why she was hoping for a no, she asked herself if she was becoming jealous.

"Can I get another idea please" D.baba said

"What manager said makes sense naw, just propose to Pinky" SJ said laughing
