I woke up before Allie and checked my phone, 8:13am. I sighed and rolled off the bed. I entered the bathroom connected to our room and pulled my shirt off so I was in only my bra. I looked in the mirror at my arm, two big circular purple bruises, "Shit!" I said to myself, "Guess I can't wear tank tops for a while." I put my shirt back on and brushed my teeth.
When I returned to our room, Allie was awake and packing, "Morning." She half smiled.
"Are you almost ready?" I asked as I rounded up everything I had brought to my mothers in my black JanSport backpack. It was just the essentials, Phone, Charger, Makeup, clothes and some extra money. I kept most if my belongings at my dad's house.
As I tied up my old ripped converse, Allie stared at me, "Didn't dad get you new shoes Jay?" I nodded, he had just bought me new converse, "I like these ones better though." I said with a shrug as I finished the double knot and sat up, "You done?"
She nodded and held up her backpack, "All ready! Let's go!" We both put our back packs on and walked towards the door.
Outside of our room, all the lights were off, so mom must still have been passed out in her room, "Come on." Allie rushed me, "Hold on" I said as I walked towards the fridge. I opened it and stared inside. We had nothing to eat, well we had two microwave Ramen packs. But the rest of our fridge was filled with six packs of beer, fireballs, tequila and lots of other types of alcohol. I smiled to myself as I took a few fireballs, the rest of the vodka and the tequila. How they all managed to fit in my bag? We'll never know. "Okay that's ridiculous Julia! Let's go!" I nodded as I walked with her to the front door.
Once outside, Al did a little happy dance, "Alright finally!" I laughed at her as I dug my keys out of my pocket, "Come on Al" we walked down the pathway and to the old ford escape dad has been letting me use. It was brand new when he gave it to Mason for his 17th birthday 3 years ago. I didn't mind though, 3 years isn't old at all and it gave the car some character. The old McDonald's fries between the seats and the dirty floors.
As we drive to dads house we blasted music, "I've got two tickets to iron Maiden babyyyy! Come with me friday, don't say maybe! Cuz I'm just a teen-" I turned the radio down and Allie glared at me, "Hey I was singing! And that's my favorite part!" I rolled my eyes and smiled as I pulled my sunglasses down, " I was just wondering if you wanted to go out later! Geez!" Suddenly Allie was intrigued, "With who?"
Allie and I were only a year apart so it was easy to find friends we could both hang out with, "Well we are not going 'out' just to nicks house with Carolyn" Allie clapped, "Yessss I love them! Im in!" I smiled, "Cool but dad said he has something for us first" I shrugged, "kinda strange but I'm also exited?" Allie nodded and turned the music back up just as Teenage dirt bag ended, "ugh!" She groaned, "I'm restarting it!"
When we got home we found Mason outside washing his car listening to his loud ass trap music. As we stopped the car, Mason turned his music down and walked up to us, "what's up girls!" We got out of the car and he dabbed us both up. Honestly, it was so reliving to see Mason. It was like even though Mason and I weren't technically related, he was my brother through and through. He listened to Allie and I and cared.
He decided to take a break and follow us inside to see dad. "Hey dad! Sarah! We're back!" I called into the foyer of our large home. Dad was a lawyer and Sarah was a surgeon so we were pretty well off, with a big house, nice clothes and food but we weren't spoiled kids. Sarah was the first to meet Allie and I at the front, she gave us each and hug, "I missed you girls!" She said, "Ugh I missed you too Sarah!" I replied as Allie hugged her again
"There are my favorite daughtets!" Dads voiced boomed into the foyer, I put my bag down and gave him a hug, "Hey dad!" After Allie hugged him and we spoke for a moment he asked us all into the living room, "Yeah give Me and Allie a sec to out our stuff away and well be right back!"
Allie and I ran up the stairs and into our own rooms, finally I thought as I hid the alcohol from my bag in my closet. I laid down on my bed for a second before deciding to let everyone know I was home with an insta post
