Chapter 1

The very next morning, Pomni awakes, yawning, rubbing her eye, staring blankly at the half opened door. Pomni glances over at the figure standing in the corner of her room and makes eye contact with the one-eyed button doll. Pomni asks, "Ragatha? What are you doing standing there?"

Ragtha pulls out a plate of breakfast from the dining hall and replies, "Just grabbing you something to feel at home again." Ragtha walks over to Pomni, placing the plate on the side table, sitting back on the bed staring into Pomni's big eyes, cupping her cheek gently. Pomni can hear her heartbeat echo through her mind and stares back into Ragatha's eyes, seeing her own reflection in the button. What is this feeling? Pomni wonders, placing a hand over her chest. Ragtha smiles at Pomni's now slightly red face and says, "Sorry I just wanted to get a better look at you." Pomni feels like her chest is about to burst open any moment the racing of her heart and how close they are in that moment. Ragtha moves Pomni's hair out of the way and hands Pomni her jester hat. Pomni takes it, feeling Ragatha's warm soft hands against her own. Pomni thanks Ragatha, and looks away shyly playing with the bells on her hat. Ragtha blushes lightly admiring the small jester beside her. Ragtha says while smiling, "shall we go see what adventure Caine has for us today?" Pomni turns and gives a small nervous nod, just the thought of what can happen today was making her mind race with crazy ideas of what bad things can happen this time. Ragtha stands up adjusting her dress and reaches a hand out to Pomni. Pomni takes Ragatha's hand and the two of them travel out to the long hall ahead, Pomni's hand starts to shake with the fear of what is beyond that door. Ragtha tightens the grip on Pomni's hand and looks at her and says, "I promise I won't let anything bad happen to you." Smiling down at Pomni, Pomni's face softens and she nods following the doll through the door.

Jax awaits by the side of the door looking at the two of them grinning at their hands he replies, "Looks like you and dollface had a good night's rest." He giggles a little seeing the doll's face go to a worried and angry scowl. Pomni spirals at the fact Jax admitted he saw what happened last night, and both Jax and Ragtha notice the now panicked jester. Ragtha protectively pulls Pomni into a hug shielding her from Jax and says in an annoyed tone, "Leave us alone Jax it was one night." Jax looks down at Pomni noticing her facial expression change from worried to a disappointed stare. Pomni questions in her mind what Ragtha meant by that statement, does this mean it was only for one night. Jax changes the subject quickly, hurrying them over to the rest of the group waiting for them to join them. Gangle is standing next to Kinger speaking to each other, while Zooble is standing ignoring everyone to busy admiring herself. Jax excitedly stomps over the group and looks over behind his shoulder to the other 2 standing behind him, Jax exclaims "Looks like the whole gang's here, now where is chatterbox and bubble at." He puts a hand to his head searching back and forth. Caine poofs into the air with Bubble by his side and looks down at the whole circus below he says loudly, "Good morning everyone! I hope you're all ready for today's adventure. That I specially made for you all!" While Caine was explaining the adventure for today Pomni stares down at her feet still stuck on what Ragtha said before, Ragtha glances over at Pomni making a worried look wondering what made Pomni's mood so low again, thinking just today's adventure was the problem.

Caine finishes explaining today's adventure of searching for an object he places in the world somewhere and whoever finds it wins for the day, and then he poofs away again with Bubble.

Jax suggests everyone splits up again, this time he had other plans he giggles to himself and says, "Gangle and Kinger are one group, I go look by myself." He turns facing the two standing behind him and finishes saying, "and Ragtha and Pomni go as a group together." He looks at the doll's face turn a pink color and watches the jester play with her gloves swaying back and forth a red tint on her face. He grins to himself at his brilliant plan, waiting for how this plays out.
