Digital Hearts

Chapter 2

The two wander out of the circus tent to the fields of digital grass, Pomni glares at the Moon and Caine speaking to each other and makes a disgusted face at whatever they are speaking about. They walk a bit further down to a digital lake, Pomni staring at her own reflection with big sparkly eyes touching her face gently having not seen herself before today. Pomni hears the sound of footsteps behind her seeing the reflection of Ragatha appear behind her in the water. Pomni turns slowly to see Ragtha with her hands behind her back, smiling at Pomni she says, "I got you something it's not what we're looking for but it reminds me of you." She takes Pomni's hands into her own, placing a red poppy flower in Pomni's small gloved hands. Pomni stares down at the little flower in her palms and looks up to see Ragtha looking back at her.

While the two of them share this moment by the lakeside back inside the tent, Jax is speaking to Zooble he says, "Don't you think something is going on between those two or is it just me? Can we even catch feelings like that for each other?" Jax questions with his hands behind his head walking besides Zooble who is looking under stuff for the object. Zooble replies, "I don't really know Jax nor care. Can we just finish this up so I can get back to what I was doing?" Jax rolls his eyes at Zooble and starts helping look for the object Caine has hidden. Jax groans, growing bored of searching for the object, he watches as Gangle and Kinger walk past him. He thinks to himself, "hmm maybe it's not in the tent but outside?" He gathers up the rest of the group and asks them to help look outside the tent instead, they all agree to try looking outside.

Pomni walks side by side with Ragatha holding the small poppy plant in her hand smiling, but that nagging feeling comes back again until she hears Ragtha exclaim, "Pomni can you help me move this? I think what we're looking for is behind here." She tries to push a large rock shape by herself, Pomni rushes over and to help push it. The two push it over to reveal a hole in the ground with a box, Pomni motions Ragatha to open the box. Ragtha picks it up dusting it off then opens it slowly to their surprise it was just a pencil. Ragatha makes a weird face, "A pencil? Why is the object a pencil?" Pomni shrugs looking at the silly face Ragtha made and laughs a little.

Returning to the inside of the tent Caine announced they are done for the day and can all share a meal Bubble had made for all their hard work. Jax sits down next to Pomni putting his feet on the table, looking at her pathetic looking features. Jax asked Pomni, "What's got you so blue aren't you gonna eat? I mean we don't have to eat but whatever makes you look less like that." He points down at Pomni's big old frown. Pomni stands up, eyes swirling and walks away from the table fiddling with her bells as she walks down towards her bedroom. Ragtha gives Jax an angry look before getting up and following after Pomni. Jax notices everyone else looking at him and he shrugs.
