Assembly

Me and sabito continued to chat and talk. Eventually the bell rang and the announcements came on, I flinched at the sudden booming of the vice principals voice on the speaker. 

🗣️ "Everyone head to the auditorium for the first day of school assembly! Now!" 🗣️

Sabito smiled gently at me and chuckled. "Welp! We should get going to the assembly place. Follow me!" I nodded gently. And smiled to him his eyes lit up at the sight of my smile but I didn't think much of it. We all lined up and walked towards auditorium as we walked througthe halls, the sound of our footsteps, echoed soon we  reached the auditorium. We all found our seats. I sat next to Sabito, the other freshman sat next to us. The stage was empty for a while until the curtains opened and all the staff members in the school were standing on the stage, the principal walked up to the microphone and spoke, 

"Welcome everyone to Kimitsu high, welcome. We're glad you're all here. This is the first day of school and the freshman will be going to the gym to look at all the clubs and sign up for the classes. I will now introduce all the staff members including professors, the janitor and others." 

The principal then announced all the different staff members. I didn't pay much attention. Apparently our math professor is Mr, green. Our science professor is mr Gerald's  and our history teacher is Mrs Murphy,  I can't remember the rest but I don't care, me and sabito kept giggling at each other during the assembly. We're going to be good friends... I hope we can stay good friends. Right now we're on our way to the Gym. As we left the auditorium I looked around the bright lights hitting my face. All the students rushing out made it harder to navigate I looked around as much as I could I couldn't see sabito! Where did he go. My heart pounded in my chest my pupils dilated between the lights hitting my face the people shoving past me and forcing me against the seats. The loud noises the  teachers talking the students talking it was all so overwhelming. 

What if I trip on my way out? Or accidentally push someone popular? What if I did something that made someone mad! What if I got in a fight in the first day of school...I tried to tell my self to stop overthinking but my thoughts raced in my head. What if this. What if that. It was hurting my head. I felt light headed I stumbled a bit in the crowd putting my hand to my head, then I heard a comforting voice almost drown out by my thoughts and the noises around. I felt sabitos warm hand on my shoulder. I blinked a few times it felt like being pulled out of a rapid river after loosing all my air. Sabito was behind me... speaking... what was he saying I couldn't hear him. 

"Hey! Giyuu are you okay!" 

"Giyuu! Snap out of it!"

"GIYUU!"  I snap out of it. Sabitos voice rung in my ears,

"Sabito?... oh?... sorry..." my voice was shaky I removed my hand from my head taking in a breath of relief.

"Are you okay bud? Giyuu you seemed like you were going to pass out." Sabito quaked he seemed concerned for me. 

"Sorry...I just got overwhelmed..." I responded to him dipping my head I suddenly felt him poke my forehead causing me to look up.

"Hey! No need to apologize! Let's just head to the gym okay! I promise I'm right beside ya!" Sabito cheered smiling smugly at me. 

"Alright sabito." I smiled gently we both continued walking we were now near the back of the crowd I had managed to fully calm myself down as we made our way to the gym.

I hope you all liked this part! I'm back! Sorry for vanishing for so long. I was busy with school and was lacking motivation I promise to move the story along more in the next 2 chapters.
