Regina's POV
"Regina, you have to forgive them. I don't think you're a monster. You have to show them you've changed." Robin whispered wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my neck. I giggled with a smile. "I'm so happy I went in that tavern and met you." I whispered kissing his cheek. "Are you ready to forgive them?" He asked pulling away, making me face the mirror. "I... I don't know, Robin. Somehow I think I over-reacted and made her life a living hell for such a small thing. I'm nervous that if I ask forgiveness now, she'll say it's to late and shun me." I replied leaning on Robin. "Do you know what it is I see, Regina?" He asked as we looked at our reflection in the long mirror. I shook my head smiling. "I see a beautiful queen who can learn to become a hero, a mother, and has the most beautiful eyes that if you could just see through the darkness, she has light that can brighten the whole room. And I'm not letting anyone snuff out that light. Don't be nervous, love. I'll be there with you if they don't accept your apology then we can run away together." He replied smiling at our reflection. "I love you so much." I whispered as he rest his head on my shoulder. "I love you too." He whispered kissing my cheek.
We heard our door creak open and turned to see Roland pop his head in. "Daaaaaaad." Roland called as he came running towards us. "Yes?" Robin asked as Roland joined us in front of the mirror. "There's a strange man outside asking for mum." Roland replied with a frightened expression. My heart skipped a beat at Roland calling me mum. It's been three months since he started calling me that and I couldn't help but feel giddy inside.
"Mum?" Roland asked as I looked at he mirror and smiled at him. "It's just an old aquintance, dear." I replied petting Roland's hair. "Acaintanth?" Roland asked with a cute little frown. I chuckled pulling away from the hug and stooping to his level. "Someone I knew from a long, long time ago." I explained kissing the crease between his eyebrows.
"I'll go with you." Robin offered carrying Roland. I frowned wondering what Rumple would be doing here this late. "Smile." Robin whispered with a smile and lacing his hand in mine. I smiled at our hands as Roland giggled. I looked at Roland and smiled. He's such an adorable kid. "I told him to wait outside." Daddy said smiling at us as we reached the bottom of the stairs. "Thank you daddy, may you please take Roland to the kitchen. I'm sure he's hungry." I said hugging Daddy. "Very well, come on Roland." Daddy said taking Roland from Robin. "Come back after!" Roland hollered waving at us with his cute little hands.
"He's grown fond of you." Robin pointed out with a smile as we walked towards the door to find Rumplestiltskin smiling at us. "What do you want, Dark One?" Robin asked glaring. "I'm here to say my apologies, dearie." He replied as Belle appeared behind him. "The Dark One, apologizing? What changed?" I asked smirking. "Don't push him, Regina." Belle threatened. "Forgive me." I apologized blushing as Robin smirked at me. "As I was saying, dearie. I am apologizing for everything I've done to you. I've turned you into a monster you shouldn't have been. As a token of my asking forgiveness, I give you this, drink this and it will reverse the effects of the potion you made to make yourself barren." Rumple replied poofing a potion from his hand. I raised a brow, doubting. "How do I know you're not asking for anything in return, Rumple?" I asked hesitating to take the bottle. "I've been trying to change for Belle starting with those people, as they say, screwed over." He replied looking at Belle lovingly. I smiled and took the bottle. The Dark One is sincere this time. My mentor finally found his happiness. "Thank you, Rumple. I accept your aplogy." I replied smiling. "See you around, dearie. You've always been my brightest pupil." Rumple said with a grin as he took a step back; locked his arm with Belle and poofed them away. I smiled feeling proud of his last sentence. I closed the door and sighed.
Robin cupped my cheeks with both hands and gently forced my chin up with his left hand so we would look each other in the eye. "Why did he give you such a potion?" Robin asked worriedly. I smiled sadly at him and cupped his cheek. "My mother found about what the fairy told me about my second chance in true love and found it was you. She made a man to disguise as you and lied just to get me to do what she wants," I paused closing my eyes at the memory. I truly hated my mother then, she was a vile, evil woman, but she was my mother. "What happened next?" Robin cooed caressing my cheeks. I frowned and continued. "I vowed to never have children because it is what she wanted. I didn't want to be a pawn. I wanted to cause her so much pain so I drank a potion I made to make myself barren." I replied ashamed. Robin caressed my cheek and kissed my forehead.
