Chapter 4: Magic: True Love's Kiss

James/Charming

"Snow, did you feel it?" I asked as we walked away from the lovebirds. "The same feeling when you awoke me from that curse? Yes, I did." She replied as we walked back to the ball to see most of the guests have left. "Is Emma going to be okay with that pirate?" Regina asked worriedly. "She'll be fine. Did you feel that surge of magic go through the place?" I asked as we helped everyone clean up. "Yes, what was that?" Robin replied as the children went up to their bedrooms. "It's a sign of true love. Every time a royal kisses their true love, a surge of magic goes around the kingdom as if acting like a shield." Regina replied as we finished fixing the place.

"Is that what we felt when I first kissed you?" Robin asked hugging Regina from behind. "We better leave them." Snow whispered pulling me towards the stairs. "I just can't believe that our daughter is ending up with that pirate." I replied truthfully. "Charming, you know they won't be able to get enough of each other. Just leave them be." Snow said caressing my cheek. "I know, I'm just worried Hook would just think of her as game." I replied worriedly. "Charming! She's happy with Hook. I couldn't find it in my heart to pull her away from him. Why can't you?" She asked smiling. I smiled kissing her forehead. "She's grown so much from the baby we once had." I stated as we watched Emma and Hook from our window. "Do you think Hook is playing with her?" I asked as they laughed. "You know, you're father instincts are showing again." Snow commented smiling. I sighed helping Snow on the bed. "I can not, not protect her from him. We know him more than her." I stated blowing the candle on our night stand. "I know, but she's his happy ending. Villains have the right to be happy too, don't you think?" She asked smiling. I sighed agreeing. "I love you so much." I whispered kissing her forehead. "And I you." She replied falling to sleep. I smiled gently hugging her closer to me.

Regina

"Yes, I believe so." I replied as Robin captured my lips. We kissed softly as we heard giggling making us pull away. We looked towards the door to find Seraphina and Celeste giggling behind the door. "Shall we?" Robin asked as we walked towards them and startled them. "Mom!" Phina complained smiling. "You two were supposed to be in bed ages ago." I commented raising a brow. "Well, yeah, but we had to see Emma and Hook, but we saw you instead." She replied guilty. I smiled and we walked them back to their room. "I see, well, Emma and Hook are fine. They have something everyone will have when they find it." I replied smiling at them. "What's that?" Celeste asked confused. "True Love." Phina replied giggling. "Goodnight. We'll see tomorrow early. We have to get back to the kingdom." I stated smiling. They smiled back and were fast asleep. "Best we go." Robin whispered as we walked out of their room. We walked towards our when we heard voices.

"Hook, you didn't have to walk me to my room." Emma stated. I raised a brow as Robin and I took a peak at what was happening. "I wanted to walk you here, love. You can't deny me that, can you?" Hook asked smirking. Hook and Emma were by her door. Emma was smiling as Hook was still smirking. "When can I see you again?" Hook asked as Robin and I shared a look. "Well, I think I can slip out of my lessons tomo-" I cut her off. "You're not skipping any lessons, Emma. She's free early mornings, after lunch and dinner. Emma, you better learn your duties correctly if you want to spend a day with him." I said smiling. Emma had wide eyes and came over to hug me tightly. "Thank you, Regina!" She exclaimed pulling away and went to hug Hook.

"We should go sleep." Robin whispered as we walked towards our room as well. "Are you going to go easy on her?" Robin asked as I changed our clothes with magic. "I'm always fascinated by your magic." Robin stated pulling me in bed. "And I'm fascinated about you being my husband. And...probably." I stated smiling. Robin laughed as we looked at the moon. "It's brighter than usual." Robin commented as I kissed his chin. "Yes, it is." I frowned noticing a shadowy figure on the moon. I got out of bed and quickly ran towards the window. "It can't be." I whispered nervously. "Regina, what is it?" Robin asked hugging me from behind and frowning. "I saw him." I stated feeling myself shaking and closing my eyes. "Regina, who?" Robin asked worriedly. I looked back at the moon to see it gone. "Nothing, just my imagination." I replied hugging him tightly. I know the shadow and he's here.

Rumplestiltskin

"Rumple?" Belle asked coming out of the mansion. "Go back inside, Belle. There's a storm coming." I stated looking at the bright moon and the shadow of a man I never want to see. "What is it, Rumple?" Belle asked worriedly. "We'll be going into war soon." I stated gazing at her eyes. "You're so beautiful." I whispered kissing her softly. She smiled kissing me back. We pulled away and looked at the moon again to see the shadow gone. "The Charmings and Regina will be needing my help soon... Belle, I love you so much, never forget that." I stated caressing her cheek. "Rumple, let's get to bed. Regina will be back soon and you'll resume your duties, you should rest early." Belle said pulling me in. I smiled as she put me to bed and we were fast asleep. I know that shadow has reached Snow's daughter, I better think of something quick.

Emma

"The Evil Queen is your grandmother?" Hook asked smirking. "She's not Evil anymore." I stated frowning. "My apologies. So, we can meet up at those times?" He asked wrapping an arm around my waist. "That would be nice." I replied as he captured my lips for a chaste kissed and then we pulled away. "I'll see tomorrow, love." Hook said caressing my cheek and walking away. I sighed getting in my room and closing it. I felt cold air and a chill go down my spine as I changed my clothes for the night.

I frowned looking around to see nothing, but my candles were blown out. I lite them again and laid on the bed. This was the best birthday! It was like Magic filled the air when we kissed. I felt that chill again and eyes staring at me. I looked around frowning and seeing a shadow in front of my bed. I blinked and it was gone. I'm probably just imagining things. I closed my eyes feeling myself fall to sleep.

While everyone slept, the great shadow went back to it's human half after spying on the beautiful princess of the South. Unknowingly, our princess is going for one hell of ride for the next days.
