Greg lied there as the pinkish light of early morning slowly illuminated their bedroom. The warm rays of sun slid across his stomach, heating up his tanned skin. The world was quiet for the most part, aside from an occasional tweeting of local birds, slowly waking up in their nests. Greg liked early mornings. As he grew older, he appreciated them more and more, knowing that it was the only time of the day when he felt rested and free. His sleepy monologue however got interrupted by a tiny hand shaking his shoulder from the side of the bed. Greg yawned
- Honey, Daddy is sleeping...- but the hand gripped him harder, shaking him more frantically now. Greg scrunched his eyebrows, turning on his side and as far from the edge as he could. As much as he hated himself for it all he could think was "Please leave me alone, just for a few minutes...". The hand shook him even harder, trying to pull him back on his back.
- Jenny, stop. I am tired. - Greg managed to mutter, squeezing his eyes shut. The hand retreated, leaving his shoulder slightly numb from the pressure, but before Greg could sigh in relief a quiet girly voice whispered into his ear, her gusts of breath tickling the side of his head.
- Open your eyes Greg...
Gregs arm shot up, grabbing the hand hovering over him, causing Gabbie to yelp. He opened his eyes, breathing heavily before shooting her a confused look.
- What are you doing? - he asked, his heart still beating rapidly in his chest. Gabbie shot him her own confused look, pulling her hand away from his grip.
- I was trying to wake you up. You were talking in your sleep, so I thought you were having a nightmare...- She explained, speaking as if she was talking to an eight-year-old boy who asked the stupidest question possible. Greg rubbed his face with both hands, trying to wake himself up.
-Yeah, I was... I am sorry for grabbing you like that...- he said awkwardly.
- No need... You were pretty shaken up last night, so no wonder...- Gabbie just shrugged her shoulders before changing the topic. She smiled coyly, looking him up and down.
- How are you feeling after...you know...- her tone suggestive enough for Greg to get the hint. He blushed slightly, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
- It was really nice....
- Awww- Gabbie cooed. – I love when you get all shy about it. - She laughed, flipping her long hair back. Greg let out an awkward laugh himself, not quite knowing how to respond to sudden teasing coming from his wife.
- Well...- she clapped her hands. - I am glad you liked it... I kind of missed just being together like that...- sha added shyly, looking at him with those doe eyes. If it wasn't for being parents and having already break one of their promises to Jenny, Greg would definitely go for a round two.
Gabbie reached out to stroke her fingers down his chest suggestively, her eyes burning with emotion. Greg smiled awkwardly at the suggestive tone of his wife's voice.
- I missed that too, you know? But we can't right now... Jenny might forgive us for one mishap but not two. - He laughed. Gabbie sighed, rolling her eyes at him before turning around and getting up from the bed.
- You are such a killjoy, you know? - She theatrically threw her hands in the air in disappointment. Greg chuckled at his wife's antics, having missed her overdramatic "Go big or go home" attitude.
- What? I feel bad... You promised her to read her a bedtime story and instead we... you know...
- I know, I know... Just u bringing up our daughter when I am about to seduce you is such a turn off. - She lamented, pulling the gown over her shoulders.
