'Landoooo, stop harassing me,' I said as I rolled my eyes.
'I just can't resist it. When I see your face it needs a pillow in it.'
Another pillow was swung in my face.
'I'm taking my work elsewhere,' I reacted on an annoyed tone and got up from the couch we were sitting on.
I walked down the hallway and found an empty office. Here I can work in peace. Away from childish Lando.
I sat down at the desk and opened my laptop. I smiled as I saw the photo on my desktop.
Me and Oscar. Even though we are just official, it feels like its been way longer.
I met Oscar when I got signed for a media job with McLaren. And sadly enough, they put me in the media postion for Lando. Maybe it's better this way. Being around Oscar 24/7 is maybe a bit too much for now.
Still, working with Lando has been though. He's such a pain in my ass. And won't leave me alone.
As I was working on my laptop, I suddenly see my phone lid up with a notification.
Lando: You hiding from me? 🥲
I grabbed my phone and responded.
Y/n: For life.
I secretly giggled a little at my own response.
Then I laid my phone down on my desk with the screen facing down. No more distractions.
-
'Goooooooodmorning everyone!'
There goes my peace.
'That's my que,' I said as I stood up from the couch.
'Noooo y/n don't leave me again,' Lando said and dragged me back onto the couch.
'I'm not in the mood for a pillow fight Lando.'
'I wont. Promise,' he answered with a big smile.
'Giving you the benefit of the doubt here Norris,' I gave in.
'You just secretly love me,' Lando said with some attitude.
'You wish,' I responded sassy.
We spoke through the media program of today. It went pretty well. No pillows in my face and all.
'...so this weekend we have a team launch party to attend,' I said as I finish speaking through the program.
'That'll be fun. Seeing you all dressed up, can't even imagine that. Do you think they can patch you up?'
'Lando!' I exclaimed as my mouth fell open.
I gave him a push as he giggled at his own joke.
-
It was finally weekend. I had been looking forward to this. Dressing up and going with Oscar sounds perfect.
Oscar and I would meet before the red carpet so we could walk together. So that's what I did.
I waited at the red carpet in line for him.
Time went by and the line got shorter and shorter.
Were the hell is he?! I didn't want to walk by myself. I'm way to self conscious for that.
Then suddenly it was my turn. I had let everybody pass me but now I was the only one left.
'They did a pretty good job I mist admit,' I suddenly heard behind me as a pair of eyes scanned me up and down.
It was Lando.
I smiled sarcastically knowing he was joking.
'I'm just waiting for Oscar.'
'Then you'll be waiting for a long time.'
I gave him an questioning look.
'He's already inside.'
'How do you-' I started my sentence. I was interrupted with loud screams of the paparazzi who had noticed Lando.
'Come on,' Lando said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the red carpet.
He let his hand rest on my hip and gave me a little smile once in a while. It was reassuring me but I couldn't help but wonder what the media would say. What stories they were gonna make up.
"Lando Norris' new girlfriend spotted on the red carpet?!"
I'm already seeing the headlines.
It also doesn't help that Oscar and I are not even public yet. Lando always mocks me with it that he doesn't love me enough to go public with it.
But I know that isn't true. Oscar doesn't want all the media drama that comes with a public relationship. And I totally agree with him.
'Lando, lando, tell us, who is this beautiful women besides you!' a reporter screamed from the side line.
'Lando, are you still single?' another reporter screamed as well.
Suddenly we cough the interest of literally every reporter out there and they all screamed questions at us, all at once.
This was going the wrong way..
I looked at Lando with panic clearly showing in my eyes.
Then a split second later I turned my head back and suddenly all the reporters had breaked through the barricades and were now storming onto the red carpet.
Lando quickly grabbed my waist more firmly and fastened his pace as we quickly ran inside the building hosting the event.
He grabbed the first door he could find and dragged us in the room, closing the door behind him.
Leaning against the door we tried to catch our breaths.
'What the hell just happend?!' I exclaimed with wide eyes.
