Chapter 18: UA entrance exam

Izuku midoria POV
Me and kacchan walk to the school together but when we reach it we go separate ways, we both agreed that we won't help each over win points. I wait around the corner for a bit while he goes in first. When I walk in it trip on my own foot. Then someone slaps me as I fall and I begin to float.

Ochaco: "release. Sorry that I hit you but I figured that it's better than falling flat on your face. I'm ochaco Uraraka." She put her finger pads together when she said release I assume for her quirk. She seems nice enough to befriend, it will be good to have allies during this experience. I take out my notepad.

Izuku: I'm itsuki Akidio it's nice to meet you Uraraka. I'm going for the hero course, what about you?

Ochaco: "I'm trying to get into the hero course too! Oh and sorry if this is rude but can you not speak?"

Izuku: I'm selectively mute. Anyway I assume your quirk is float.

Ochaco: "yea it is. What's yours?"

Izuku: I don't have one

Ochaco: "wow. That's amazing that your still trying to be a hero. Ah sorry I mean it in the nicest way but I don't think there's ever been a quirkless hero. Anyway come on or we're going to be late." I nod and we walk to the exam hall where hizashi is standing at the front. I sit next to kacchan since we are ordered where to sit based on or middle school.

President mic: "What's up UA candidates thanks for tuning into me, your school dj. Come on let me hear ya!" Silence. "Keeping it mellow huh? That's fine I'll skip right to the main show, let's talk about how this practical exam is gonna go down, okay? Are you READYY?" More silence "Like your application said today you rockin boys and girls will be out there conducting ten-minute mock urban battles after this. After I drop the mic here you will head to your specified battle centres, sound good?" More silence "OKAY??"

Kacchan: "there splitting us up so we can't work with our friends" he shows me his card

Izuku: yea our battles are after eachover but in different areas

President mic: "okay, okay. Let's check out your targets there are three types of villains in every battle setting, you'll earn points based on their level of difficulty, so you better chose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to raise your score by shredding these villains like a guitar solo. But check it make sure you keep it heroic, attacking other hero's is a high UA no-no"

???: "excuse me sir but I have a question."

President mic: "Hit me!" The lights shine on the boy who spoke up.

???: "on the print out there's 4 types of villains not 3. With all respect if this is a error on official UA material it is shameful. We are students, we expect the best from japans best school, a mistake such as this won't do. Additionally you two with the unkempt hair, you two have been passing notes this whole time. Stop that. If you can't bother to take this seriously leave. It is distracting the rest of us." He is just behind us so he points down to us.

Kacchan: "how the hell is passing notes a distraction and I was talking but you didn't mention that, did ya four eyes?"

???: "my name is tenya Iida and passing notes and talking is a sign that you aren't giving your full attention to president mic"

Kacchan: "we were discussing the information and itsuki can't speak so he uses writing or sign language to communicate. Got a problem with us listening and quietly discussing the information given to us?"

Tenya: " i suppose when you put it like that it's not so bad, my apologies. Please continue president mic."

President mic: "Allright, allright. Examine number 711 thanks for calling in with your request, the 4th villain type is worth 0 points. That guy is just an obstacle, we'll be throwing in your way. There's one in every battle centre. Think as it as a hurdle you want to avoid. It's not that it can't be beaten but there's kinda no point. I recommend my listeners try to ignore it and try to focus on the other ones. That's all I got for you today. Good luck I hope you practiced more than hitting just books. Oh and by the way anyone without a quirk please go to room 801 for a weapon of choice but to my knowledge there is only one quirkless candidate this year."
