Room

I woke up with jerk and looked around but could not make-out of anything that I was seeing, the room is dark, with only the dim light of bed side lamp. I sat up and slowly got out of bed.I don't remember how I got here. I was in small room. At the foot of my bed there is ladder leading to another bed on a loft. The room is sparsely furnished, with only a few other pieces of furniture, such as a dresser and a nightstand. The walls are bare, and the only decoration is a single painting on the wall above the bed.
In the dim light, the room takes on a slightly eerie atmosphere.
The room is small but strangely inviting. The bed looks warm and inviting, and the blanket looks soft and comfortable. It is easy to imagine curling up in bed and watching movie with popcorns, feeling safe and secure from the world but my head was hurting badly. Ahh.. this headache was killing me. Suddenly realisation hit me, It was not my room, this was not our house, I was quite frightened and quite taken aback. As for my last memory, I remember I was on the stage of our college performing for a group dance competition when in the middle of our dance, something went wrong and the heavy stage light which was right above my head fell upon me. I felt as if time slowed down, I could hear the obvious panic in my group members' voices, Neha! they all were crying while calling my name. I could see the blood, and could hear sobbing voices but I was unable to move, my teachers and judges of the competition also panicked while some teachers were trying to stop the bleeding and trying to keep me awake, I could feel the burning sensation and soon the darkness consumed me, I was feeling light and fuzzy so I opened my eyes. Wait am I floating as a looked around I saw my body on the surgery room, I saw how I was given bolts of shock and finally I was declared brain dead by now there were tears in my eyes, in the next second i felt the environment fading I was quite shocked of my findings and surrounding.
