Practice. (Chapter 2)

Yamaguchi and tsukishima chat while walking down the hallway. And on their way to the gym, they see kageyama and hinata running down the hallway past them. Once they see them, tsukishima and yamaguchi look at each other once they do that. Yamaguchi starts to laugh. " There they go again. Racing all the time, " he says. Tsukishima shakes his head sighing before replying to Yamaguchi, "Why are they like that.." Yamaguchi laughs at what he said before they finally open the doors across from the gym and then finally make it inside the gym. Once the doors of the gym shut, they see everyone talking, but of course.. kageyama and hinata are fighting over who made it in first . Hinata yells, "I made it in first! You liar!" Kageyama replies."I clearly made it in 10 years before you did dumbass!" He yells back before daichi comes over and separates the two "okay that's enough practice will be starting soon, so how about you both go stretch? " daichi says. " Will do! Sorry," shoyo says, and a moment after kageyama says, " Sorry," he mutters as he rolls his eyes before walking away. Tsukishima starts to walk away to go into the locker room, and yams stands there for a moment before catching up to the tall blonde. They both head to the locker room as they see tanaka walking out as tanaka says, " Hey Yamaguchi! And tsukipoo!" Yamaguchi replys "hey tanaka senpai!" tsukishima says,"dont call me that." And after that the 2 boys walk into the locker room , they go to their lockers and start to change. As they both start getting their gym clothes on, yamaguchis eyes start to wander to the other boy as he changes. As tsukishima changes from the school uniform into his practice outfit. He starts by taking off his jacket and then his uniform shirt. Yamaguchi looked over at tsuki when he had no shirt on. Which made Yamaguchi turn away once he realized what he saw, even tho they grew up together and have changed around each other before.. this time seemed to feel ...different? And yamaguchi put his head against his locker
For a moment before continuing to get changed as he starts to think. "I wonder..how he would act if I told him.."

A couple minutes later, they come out, and the team starts stretching together before doing warm-ups. Yamaguchi goes towards tsuki and says "Hey tsuki wanna warm up together?" He says with a light smile. Tsukishima looks at him for a moment before replying "sure tadashi." Yamaguchi pauses when he says his first name. Once he snaps back into reality, he goes and grabs a ball for the both of them once he comes back with the ball. Everyone gets in lines and toss to their partners. After a minute or so, a slap can be heard throughout the gym.. as it gets silent, every looks in the direction that the slap came from. And it's from a ball hitting hinata in the face while trying to receive. Kageyama yells at the orange haired man. "That was the easiest serve! And you can't even receive it!!" After kageyamas done yelling at him hinata finally replies "I'll get it I promise I will!!" he says, trying to ensure everyone that he will get better at it. Suga says to hinata, "Are you alright? That ball hit kinda hard.." daichi agrees with suga.

A couple minutes after that incident.. they are now doing a match against each other.
The A team has: kageyama, hinata Nishinoya, tsukishima, yamaguchi, and tanaka. The B team has: Suga, daichi, ennoshita,kinoshita Asahi, and narita. Once they get onto their according sides of the court, the B team starts the match. A couple minutes into the match, Yamaguchi is going to serve as he takes a deep breath he gets extremely nervous, meaning once he serves, it doesn't end up going over the net. And he stands there disappointed and slightly ashamed as he says, "Sorry.." A couple minutes later, they are finally done with the game as the A team ended up winning.

Coach Ukei calls Yamaguchi over to him so they can talk. Coach, ukei says. "Hey kid..what's going on lately? You haven't been doing as well as you normally are. Everything alright?"

Yamaguchi sighs before replying. Yamaguchi nods thoughtfully, "Coach, there's been a lot on my mind, especially about a certain someone. I'll do my best to communicate with the team, but I might need some guidance on how to handle things personally." Opening up about personal concerns, Yamaguchi seeks not only support for the team but also guidance on navigating interpersonal dynamics, showing a willingness to address both aspects of his volleyball journey. Coach ukei nods. "I'm here if you need me..for anything, just let me know." He says, still smoking as they are outside."Now go. Get back in there," Yamaguchi nods and heads back inside the gym. A couple of seconds later, daichi announces that practice is over and who is on cleanup duty. Daichi says, "Yamaguchi and Tsukishima, you guys will lock up, alright?" The two boys nod in response.
Once he's done talking, everyone heads to pack up their stuff and leave after a good 5 minutes. Except Yamaguchi and Tsukishima since they have to lock up. Tsukishima grabs a sweeper and starts cleaning. Yamaguchi, on the other hand, picks up leftover stuff and puts it away.
They cleaned in silence, which was until Yamaguchi spoke up. "Tsuki?" He asked. Tsukishima looks over at him. "What?" He asked. Yamaguchi stopped. "Never mind."
Kei looks at him, confused as to why he called him and then changes his mind. A couple minutes later, they finish cleaning and head to the locker room change and grab their stuff.

Tsukishima says. "You've been acting off...are you alright?" Yamaguchi looks over at him before replying. "i..I um..yeah,"

Tsukishima looks at him in a suspicious way but doesn't say anything about it.
They grab their bags and lock up the gym. After that, they walk together. In a comfortable silence on the way home before they split ways tsukishima says.
"Get home safe, alright? Text me when you get in. " Yamaguchi replies "will do tsuki. " he smiles at tsukishima with a loving look in his eyes. After that, they head down different streets, ..parting ways for the night. a couple of minutes later. Once Yamaguchi gets home, he grabs his phone and texts tsukishima.

💚" Good, well I'm heading to bed. See you tomorrow?

Yamaguchi looks at the text and smiles happily. As he gets in his pajamas and gets in bed to call it a night.

On the other hand, at tsukishimas, once he put his phone down, he sighed because tadashi went to bed. Tsukishima says "Atleast ill see him tomorrow."
