The next few hours were a blur, as 2-D underwent surgery to remove the unborn baby from his body, by having a C-Section. It was a complicated & risky procedure, but the doctors were confident in their abilities. And when they finally finished, they were carrying a beautiful baby girl, in which 2-D named her Zafiro, due to her hair that was as blue as a sapphire, & "zafiro" means "sapphire" in Spanish.
2-D held his daughter in his arms for the first time, with tears streaming down his face as he looked into her beautiful, naturally fractured, pitch-black eyes. It was impossible to describe the intense love he felt for this cute little girl, who had been growing inside him all this time.
The rest of the Gorillaz members were there too; Russel had his heart filled with warmth, alongside with his eyes that are all red & puffy from crying. He was telling 2-D how proud he was of him for going through all of this, & 2-D knew that this was going to change everything - for better or for worse - but for now, he was just happy to have Zafiro in his life.
As Murdoc, Noodle, & Russel looked down at Zafiro, whom 2-D had brought into the world, they knew that nothing would ever be the same. But they were ready for the challenge - together, they could handle anything that came their way.
