It was break and I was walking round the canteen with my mates max and logan.

We walked by Jake and his mates table when Logan started having ago at one off them.

I remembered what Jake said in french.

"Alright mate lets go" I said

"What why if she doesn't wanna listen I can just take the hearing aids."

"Come on mate lets just go."

"Fine. Can't believe you've gone soft on me."

He pushed me.

He pushed me harder and I just punched him the next moments were a blur but we were rolling around on the ground when I got on top off him and juat started punching him.

I got off him and stood up.

I just pushed my way through the crowd and ran.

I went into an empty classroom and hid.

I heard the door open.

I looked out to see Jake.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"I'll ask you the same."

"Yknow what if you're gonna be in here atleast come here and get down."

"So why'd ya do it."

"What?"

"Stick up for her I mean."

"Well you actually."

"What?"

"That thing you said in french. Made me think."

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

"You know Ethan maybe you aren't a selfish prick."

"Thanks."

"I'm being genuine I'm just curious."

"Yeah."

"So you like rugby lads then?"

"I don't mind them."

"I've been thinking I don't really wanna hang out with people like Logan anymore."

I felt myself lean in closer to Jake I started moving my face closer to his.

I kissed him.

It was wonderful.

Not like any of the girls I'd kissed this was different.

I pulled away.

"I'm so sorry" I said.

"Don't be it was fun."

He winked at me and walked out.
