Phonix a bird you might call it, a bird that once it dies will burn into ashes and be reborn into fire. That is what I am. A bird that can never die. Life gets lonely and sad while you watch all your friends die. When you get old you die then get reborn always, never forgetting previous lives. I mean once you get past that it isn't that bad. I mean I was alive for the civil war. My mom said there was only one way to kill us, is this long spell that has to be under a crescent moon. So I think I'm good.
"Ruby come on your going to be late for school." I sigh and go over to my mirror. I am technically not all Phooenix my dad is a griffin half lion half Eagle so I'm half and half. I brush through my red hair and apply some gold eyeshadow and some winged eyeliner. I put on my white Panic at the disco shirt and some black jeans. I curl my long red hair and add my feather necklace. Paired with my black combat boots, perfect. I run down stairs and grab a beagle and run out the door. I walk to my back yard and look around to see if anyone is looking. Then I shift into a Phoenix. I can change into either a griffin or Phoenix. Flying to school was peaceful and calming. I like watching the wind blow the treetops. If people see me I don't worry I just look like a large robin. I mean that's what glamor is for. Glamor is the thing that hides your true appearance from humans. In real like I have a red head and torso with orange,yellow and gold feathers. Our tears can heal any wound. Once I see the top of the school I fly low to the ground and shift back. I straighten my hair and fix my shirt and walk out of the woods. People were cramming into the doorway and I wait back. Once the commotion was calmer I walk in. Bumping into someone I drop my bag spilling all of my books. "Crap I'm sorry." As boy says. I look up to see Calum Hood bending down to pick up my books. "Um um its its okay." I stutter with my words. Calum Hood is the hottest boy in school. He has the softest looking skin and adorable chubby cheeks with dark brown hair and brown eyes, that I got lost in every time I looked in them. "So I was wondering would you wanna hang out after school today." He asks red faced. I smile widely. "yea I would love to." "Great good I'll pick you up at your locker." I nod "Ok." He walks off and smiles. I walk to the bathroom and silently scream. I am going on a date with Calum Hood.
