The next day
It's early in the morning and I wake up to a text from Shawn. I open the messages
Shawn:
You tryna spend the night this weekend? Well today since it's Friday.
Me:
Is your mama okay with me staying the night?
Shawn:
She don't care
Me:
Okay, let me ask my mama and I'll hit you back up later.
Shawn:
Ight
I go in the bathroom and use it then wash my hands. I brush my teeth then wash my face. I go to check if my mama is in her room and she's up putting on her shoes.
"Mama" I say looking at her
"What?" She ask
"Can I spend the night at my boyfriend house?" I ask
"Who, that Shawn dude you talking to?" She ask
"Yea" I say
"Yea if I can speak to his mama then you can spend the night" she says
"Okay hold on" she says and I text Shawn.
Me:
She said she wanna talk to yo mama first
Shawn:
Call me
I call his phone and he answers.
"Hold on" he says and I wait for him to talk while I'm on the phone.
"Mama" he says
"Yea" his mama says through the phone.
"Her mama wanna talk to you" he says
"Ight put yo mama on the phone I'm about to give my mama the phone" he says
"Okay" I say and I give my mama the phone with it on speaker.
"Hello?" My mama says
"Yes hello?" Shawn's mama says through the phone.
"My daughter wanted to know if she could spend the night at your place and I was wondering if that would be okay with you" my mama says
"He said she was spending 3 nights" Shawn's mama says
"Oh well how many nights were you planning on spending with your boyfriend?" My mama ask looking at me.
"3" I say looking at her.
"Oh okay, is it okay if she spends 3 nights with you guys?" My mama ask
"Yea I'm fine with it, Shawn ain't never had anybody spend the night over here before this is actually his first time asking me" Shawn's mama says
