Hey guys, here's a sneak peak for the next chapter, and let me warn you, it's an emotional one, especially for Starscream.
FLASHBACK...
Starscream: And you regret encouraging me?! Are you saying that I'm an egotistical piece of scrap like Slipstream?! I'm not anything like that glitch! I'm tired of everyone in the academy saying how I'm a pathetic excuse for a seeker in training! I'm sick of it! I didn't fight back before because I didn't think there was much for me to achieve back then. But when I met you, I felt the doors of opportunity open. I felt that there was so much for me to achieve than just being a simple scientist. I wanted something more. I want others to respect me... to love me.
Jetfire didn't say anything. He transformed into robot mode as he floated in space. He approached Starscream and attempted to hug his distressed friend, only for Starscream to move back, away from the big bot.
Starscream: Fine... if that's what you think, then go home. Go back to Cybertron and continue being mocked and ridiculed! If that's what you want! But I'm not sacrificing this chance! I'm going to explore that sector, with or without you!
Starscream transformed back into alt mode as he faced away from Jetfire, muttering something that Jetfire could barely understand.
Starscream: *Under his breath* I knew making friends was a big mistake...
With that, Starscream took off, leaving Jetfire behind to utter a single sentence that his seeker companion didn't even hear.
Jetfire: You didn't need to earn others' respect and love... you already had it. I love you, Starscream.
