To Expose a Fraud

Jetfire didn't want to believe it. How could he? The fact that the ruler of Vos had been secretly conducting illegal genetic experiments on their own kind. Of course, there were the many cybertronians who didn't think too highly of Minicons, and there were the ones who downright despised them, mostly because Minicons were associated with espionage and deception. But Jetfire never thought that the hatred would go so far as to literally experiment on them. It took a lot of convincing in order for Jetfire to actually believe it. Jetfire looked up to Contrail. He saw how he always inspired young seekers in training to do great things and how he saw what was good for Cybertron. To learn that he wasn't who he said he was... that really broke his spark. After Starscream had told him everything about her knowing the future and traveling back in time. He was automatically on board with her plan to expose Contrail for the fraud he was and for his crime.

As for Skywarp and Thundercracker, considering they were younger than both Starscream and Jetfire, they were easier to convince. They weren't exposed to Contrail as much, so learning that he was a fraud didn't really affect them. Skywarp was eager to bring down a crook, but Starscream wasn't surprised. Besides being a notorious prankster, Skywarp has a reputation for being a shoot first and ask questions later, type of bot. Thundercracker, on the other servo, was someone who actually had Cybertron's good intentions. He was always a serious bot, even when he emerged from the Well of Allsparks. He was so serious that most bots thought he had no sense of humor. Luckily, (For Starscream) he wasn't humorless to the point of emotionless like Shockwave. Even still, Starscream was grateful that the three bots were helping her.

Right now, Thundercracker and Jetfire were in the training grounds of the academy, where seekers in the military course worked on their flying techniques. The obstacle course is still there from the last session. They were standing in front of a seeker, one whose paintjob was cream white with black accents and orange optics, and who had an annoyed look directed towards the bots standing in front of him. From what Starscream told them, Sandstorm had a tendency to go for flights at this time. Starscream didn't really know Sandstorm that well. In fact, the two barely interacted or acknowledged each other. Before or after the Synth-En accident. Starscream was just lucky she was able to get this info on Sandstorm. Jetfire and Thundercracker were trying their best to keep Sandstorm occupied while Starscream and Skywarp could get to Contrail. And right now, Jetfire and Thundercracker were running out of things to talk about.

Sandstorm: Listen, it's nice that you want to learn about the history of the seeker armada, but I have to go. I have somewhere to be.

Sandstorm attempted to leave, only for the two bots to block his path. Sandstorm glared at them.

Jetfire: H-hold on. You don't need to do that. We really insist on hearing the story. I'm sure whatever you have to do isn't important. *Looks at Thundercracker* Right, Thundercracker?

Thundercracker: Uh... yeah... I'm sure you can make time. *Nervously laughs*

Sandstorm raised an eyebrow ridge at the two bots.

Sandstorm: I'm starting to think you both are trying to prevent me from going to do my business.

Thundercracker: W-what?! N-no! Of course not! Uh...

Jetfire: We're just really desperate to learn. It's for a project we have.

Sandstorm: Hold on. *Looks up at Jetfire* Aren't you graduating from the academy in a few solar cycles? Why would you need to do a project when there isn't any more work to do for graduates like you? *To Thundercracker* And aren't you both in the science course? Why would you need to learn about military history?

Jetfire: Uh...

Thundercracker looked up at Jetfire. He saw that he was panicking. If Sandstorm leaves and heads for Contrail, then the plan completely falls apart. In his processor, he was trying to find a way to save Jetfire from this situation. He came to a decision. It was a very bad one, but he didn't have any other option.
