My heart thudded in my chest as I stared down at the red as blood envelope. Something was different about it, besides being the only envelope that was red. It might've been because on the envelope was my nickname or that it was in type written form, but no matter what, I was scared.
Mostly scared of the unknown.
I honestly don't know how to react to an envelope that had my nickname, Sky, written on it. Should I find out who sent it? Should I read the contents? Should I throw it away and forget about it?
Actually, I just might do all of those and in that order too. So how am I suppose to find out who sent it? There was no return address and no identification about who sent it in the first place. I guess I will have to figure that out later.
Now onto step number two: reading the contents. It's not like it would hurt anyone if I read it. Surely it's just another envelope containing typical fan mailing things. Or is it?
There is always a chance of this letter being written by a stalker, or something along those lines. Okay, quit stalling!
With trembling fingers, I hesitantly picked up the envelope. While taking notice of how beautifully typed my nickname was, I carefully opened it up. I took out a crinkled and folded piece of paper that had smudges on it. I felt deceived.
'Everything about you attracts me...' It began, I stopped reading as I felt the thin piece of paper slipping through my fingers. Call me dramatic, but I had never got a fan mail like this. I knew this letter was different, but not this different!
I took a big gulp and picked up the piece of paper from the wooden floor and continued on reading the type written words. 'That is what Harper says to Jeremy in your book, right? Well, of course I'm right about that. I read both of your books, three times.'
I felt disappointment, but why? isn't it good that she isn't attracted to me? Isn't it good that she knows the words in my book by heart? Wait, that's a bit creepy.
'I hope you realized by now that this is not quite fan mail. I have typed you fan mail before, but I always tear it up before I could ever send it. Anyways, you probably want to know who has typed this and sent it in a envelope that has my nickname for you on it.'
So apparently that was a coincidence? Now that I think about it, Sky is a common nickname for Skylar. Ugh, why do I assume so much?! With that question of my never ending questions answered, I continued reading.
'I am a fifteen year old boy and a bit tall for my age. I tower my two twin siblings, Kelsey and Erica, at a whooping five foot nine. I am a book worm and I love writing. My favorite color is an olive green, for some reasons you really shouldn't know. You don't know me, unless you consider this information I just gave you as knowing me.
'I've known you for two years, which is about the time you've started to make your writings public. I'm not a stalker if that is what you are concluding, but I am certainly along those lines. I am running out of paper, so it will be a while until you here from me again. Typewriter paper is quite expensive where I am so I will send you 'fan mail' soon, Sky ~From your secret admirer'
A few answers and a bunch more questions, thanks a lot, secret admirer.
A/N: Hi! Another chapter uploaded, and I am starting to feel bad for Skylar. Well, not that much, but still. So I have a question; have you ever had a note from a secret admirer? We'd love to know! ~XxWeridosXx
