Always a early riser, Tegan woke and made a exit out of his tent. Once outside, he went back to the blood stained spot behind the bush. Now mostly faided and dried, he bent down and felt the dried patch. Before he could do or say anything, Ester made a exit out of her tent, rubbing her eyes from groggyness as she stretched her arms up and over her head.
" Something there Tegan?"
Tegan looked behind him, stepping away from the bush.
" uh- no. I was just-"
" Bathroom?"
"Um, yea."
Ester shrugged off a laugh, turning herself around to start the break down of her tent. Tegan also turns himself around, breaking down his tent. Once the both finshed, they put their stuff in their packs and grabed their weapons and started walking. With Tegan leading the way, they walked off into the forest. Along with the quiet forces coming from the trees, Ester looked nervous, shuffling with her hands as she walked. She looked up at Tegan, who walk walking straight with his head focused in front, she wlaked up behind him and tapped his shoulder.
"Tegan-"
Tegan turned his head around, the both contuined walking.
" Yea?"
Tegan turned his back forward.
" Im still a bit uneasy about the whole thing with father-"
Ester held her breath, knowing what would come of her brothers expression. But, she asked anyway, wanting a sense of closure as she still silently griefed. Tegan sighed, stopping his walk. He turned himself around and faced Ester.
" We don't need to talk about that ok? We just need to focus on our next destination-"
Ester emptyed a sigh
" But- i want closure. I can't get over it in a night"
Being upright with her feelings took a lot of courage out of Ester, she went back to shuffling with her hands as she looked down at the ground, standing still. Tegan sighed into a grumble, placing his hands on his sisters shoulders.
" You'll be fine, we'll be fine. You can't get him back, you understand that right? All that matters is that we have eachother, ya?"
Ester sniffled, rasing her head to look up at him.
" But- he projected us-"
" You- he protected you! He wanted nothing to do with me-"
Tegan dug his hands into his sister's shoulders, filled with rage at the mention of his father's character. He then flung one hand off in protest, giving his rage more affect.
"O-ow. Tegan, that hurts"
If you saw him, what he really did. He - "
Tegan stepped back, stopping his sentence as he heard his sister's cry. He released his hand, and placed it to his side.
" I- im sorry"
Just then a twig snapped, heard beyond the trees. Ester quickly froze in her tracks, causing Tegan to freeze as well. He began looking around.
"What?"
Silent, Ester quickly grabbed her bow off her back and loaded one arrow. Following his Sister Tegan drawed his blades. They both stood still as they watched a bush move. Tegan crept closer, but jumped back as a drawf popped herself out. As she ran out, on of her healing bottles that were placed on her belt, dropped and broke. She looked down at the broken bottle.
" Shit! Not another one!"
Another silhouette walked out behind her, a man in what looked like kingdom clothing, and holding a staff. He pointed down at the broken glass with disbelief.
" Come on Ravenna, you broke another one!? Felix Just made you that one before we left!"
" Felix can grow a new one! He needs to make these things more durable!"
Looking dumb-founded, Both Ester and Tegan slowly put away their weapons. They both shared a confused look, as they watch the pair and their conversation.
" Or, hear me out- you can grow a few inches.."
Ravenna let out a sarcastic gasp.
" What a smart ass! You don't know too much about dwarfs do you, Bronx?"
Bronx showed a smirk, laughing as he held his hand on his head.
" Learn to take a joke. And maybe I'll refresh my history"
" Son of a bitch Bronx, i hate you with all my being- "
" That, i am"
Bronx let off another laugh, before looking over to the siblings.
Looking dumb-founded, Both Ester and Tegan slowly put away their weapons. They both shared a confused look, then Tegan stiffled a laugh, looking down at Ravenna. The Dwarf.
" looks like too small of a child to be using that language, someone better watch your mouth"
Tegan bent down, as if he was actually talking to a child. Ester stayed standing, her palm on her head, a bit surprised that her brother could be that stupid.
"Tegan-"
Ravenna jumped herself up, practically spinning herself around, now facing Tegan.
" Child!?, who you calling a Child, uh? I'll have you know that you look like one, baby face-"
