✩over the next few days , isa found herself being home alone almost every morning due to the fact her dad had a ton of meetings — far more than usual.
it was unusual , but isa didn't mind. it gave her some much needed space and freedom to relax.
she spent her mornings lazily lounging around the house , doing mindless things like watching tv , listening to music and scrolling through social media.
the silence was both a blessing and a curse to her.
on one hand , it felt nice to have no one around and to be able to do whatever she wanted.
but on the other hand , the silence was deafening.
it made her worry about gavi even more.
especially since he had been avoiding her calls and messages like she was the plague.
isa sat on the sofa in the living room , her eyes fixed on the tv in front of her.
she tried to focus on the show that was playing , but she couldn't concentrate.
her thoughts kept wandering to gavi and his strange behavior.
she had tried calling and messaging him again that morning , but he still wasn't responding
she went over all off the reasons as to why he might be acting strange.
she didn't think she'd said anything bad or done anything bad.
had the team done something?
that reason stuck with her — gnawing at her thoughts. but there was only one way to find out.
isa wasn't one to snoop , but there she was — walking to her father's office , determined to figure out what was wrong with the gavira boy.
isa's heart pounded in her chest as she approached her father's office. she knew it was wrong to snoop , but her concern for gavi outweighed her guilt.
she pushed open the door , her eyes scanning over the room as she looked for anything that might give her a hint about what was going on.
her eyebrows knitted in confusion as her eyes landed on her father's desk , messy with papers and documents strewn about.
as she neared closer to the table , her once relaxed and calm demeanor was halted as she got a better few of what exactly was littered across his desk.
piles and piles of letters and envelopes — which were all addressed to her father — the sender having a reoccurring name — pablo gavira.
isa felt her heart drop. what was gavi doing sending so many letters to her father?
she knew better than to be digging through her father's business , but her curiosity had gotten the better of her as she reached for one of the envelopes.
as she picked it up , a heavy weight held the letter down , and a pile of money spilled from it.
what the fuck? , she thought to herself
her hands grazed over the notes , counting them quickly and probably adding up to a few thousand euros.
isa was convinced her mind was playing games with her , so she picked up all off the envelopes , and yet once again — every letter was labeled as the sender being gavi.
she took a step back , feeling her heart racing and breath quickening as she took in the sight of the money spilling out of the envelopes.
what was going on? why was gavi sending money to her father?
