Later that night...

"WE WON!"

Microphone laughed as she fell backward on her bed and splayed her arms out to her sides while Suitcase and Lightbulb laughed. "WE FREAKIN' WON!" she exclaimed again. "I-I mean, well, we won on a DQ, sure, but WE STILL WON!"

"Technically, I think you're supposed to treat disqualified groups as if they never competed," Suitcase pointed out, folding up her idol outfit and placing it in her suitcase. "So, yeah, we really won."

"I think they're still trying to figure out whether S☆TOP lip-synced on purpose or if they've been doing it for so long that they genuinely didn't know they couldn't," Lightbulb added as she shoved some final things into her own luggage. "But either way, it still kinda makes them scumbags."

Suitcase walked up to the dresser and opened the drawer to make sure she hadn't left any of her clothes or belongings inside. When she confirmed that all the stuff she wouldn't need the next morning was stuffed safely inside her suitcase, she turned back to the bed and sat down next to Microphone. "Did you think we'd win?" she asked curiously.

Mic scoffed and shook her head. "Heck no. I thought we'd be lucky if we even placed."

"I told you we were experienced," she grinned. "Seriously. Those B.F.D. High girls really know what they're doing."

"Yeah," she chuckled. "I guess they do, huh?"

The door to the bathroom slid open just then, and Test Tube came out with a towel wrapped around her and her hair all in a wet mess. "Well, well, look who it is," Mic announced in an exaggerated voice as she sat up. "You took quite a while in there, princess. Been doing a bit more...thinking than usual?"

"I will neither confirm nor deny that statement," Test Tube answered with a smug grin as she headed over to her suitcase to look for some clothes. Suitcase and Microphone both gave each other knowing grins as Lightbulb gathered some things and headed into the bathroom, sliding and locking the door behind her.

"So, how's it feel?" Suitcase asked her. "To finally call him your boyfriend instead of your crush? And to not have to hide it anymore?"

Test Tube turned to stare at her with an unimpressed look, but she couldn't keep the façade up for long and instantly broke out into a dreamy smile. "It's the best," she sighed longingly as she set some folded clothes on the bed and sat down, staring up at the ceiling.

"Glad to finally have that weight off your shoulders?"

"Oh, yeah. You were right."

"Well, I could see how much it was troubling you," Suitcase shrugged. "I told you he loved you back."

Test Tube merely blushed and looked down at the ground in response with a shy smile. Suitcase let out a light smirk and nodded to her towel. "Careful you don't drop that towel, now," she told her. "Or Fan might come running."

"Oh, if he were here, I'd happily throw it out the window," she replied with a cheeky grin, stunning both Mic and Suitcase for more than a few seconds.

Mic made a hissing sound and shook her head. "Easy, tiger," she chuckled. "You're both only 14, remember? Gotta wait a few years before you start thinking that far."

"Either that or start planning a vacation," Suitcase smirked. "Pretty sure there are some places in the continent where it's 12."

"Really? Where?"

Knock-knock-knock.

"I'll get it," Mic said as she stood up and headed for the door. "Who is it?"
