Charlotte with fun in her voice talking to her two friends a black and white rabbit hybrid named Alexander and a pyglin named Dao, all three were waiting for a fourth friend who had gone to buy things for himself. All four were here because of a few holidays, and yes Charlotte wanted to visit her close friend Y/n. Though she had the option that he might have died or moved to another city.
- look there's a demon! - Dao said, pointing his finger at the young boy. His devil tail was sticking out of his cloak and his horns were sticking out of his hood. Charlotte turned around, as seeing demons in these cold lands is almost impossible.
Charlotte's eyes quickly found the demon and her eyes quickly widened when she noticed who the demon was with. It was Y/n! He looked a little different, just a little. Her eyes dimmed when she noticed the scar on his cheek, she knew about it, she knew where it came from and it was best not to bring it up.
But this demon near Y/n seemed like something new. She remembered that you weren't particularly social and she was the only friend left from your last campaign. So a new person in your social circle was a surprising and unexpected event.
Your eyes meet hers. You stop, immediately puzzling Tommy. Charlotte's two other friends watched the strange interaction with confusion. Tommy realized you were looking somewhere, he too turned and noticed Charlotte. She reminded him of someone, with her yellow duck wings, Mexican looks and facial features.
- Hey, hey, y/n! - Charlotte called out to you, waving her gloved hand. You swallowed, smiled awkwardly, and waved back at her.
- Wait for me here guys, I need to talk to them- she said to her friends. Her boots clattered on the stone floor of the square, her wings folded behind her back. She walks up to you with her sweet smile.
- How are you, Y/n? Who is that cute boy beside you? - Charlotte asked, placing a hand on your waist. You held Tommy by the shoulders beside you. He still couldn't take his eyes off this woman in front of him. His face flushed when she called him " sweet boy". He didn't get called that very often, and it only embarrassed you.
- I'm perfectly fine, and this is my.. - you didn't know what to say about Tommy. You could tell the truth about him being a stranger to you. Or you could lie about him being a distant relative. But that would be a lie, and you don't want to lie to Charlotte.
- nephew! I am his nephew! - Tommy suddenly shouted with a smile. Charlotte looked at him in surprise. You were lucky to have an older sister and that lie could at least be believed.
- Yes, he is my nephew! His name is Tommy! Maria asked me to look after him while he's on vacation! - you said only supporting the lie by smiling more confidently. Charlotte looked first at you and then at Tommy.- and how are you doing? - you asked with a slight shuffle of your foot.
- Everything is perfect! I came with my friends for the holidays and to visit Galium's grave, and to meet you if possible! - she said gesturing with her hands. You looked at the two guys outside one of the stores in the square. You weren't that interested in them, which was understandable, they were strangers to you.
- I just wanted to go shopping with my nephew, and visit the grave too - you said frowning slightly at the mention of the grave. He was your friend until he was killed by your closest friend. Tommy noticed how your face and tone changed at the mention of a certain Galium. He found it curious.- Why don't you go shopping yourself? - Tommy suddenly suggested, wagging his tail slightly happily. Charlotte was surprised, laughed awkwardly and replied: -Sorry, I'm not alone right now, I have my friends with me though and we wanted to have fun together.
It was obvious from her tone that she didn't want to upset Tommy with words, although those words touched you a little. She already had new friends and you thought they were better than you. Tommy only got a little upset, but soon smiled again.
- though, wait I'm staying at my parents house tonight, do you remember where that is, Y/n? - she asked turning to you. You pushed your unnecessary thoughts aside.
- Oh yeah, I remember.
- Bye then, I have to go now! - she said as she noticed her friend, an axolotl hybrid, leave the store. She waved goodbye to you before quickly walking off towards them.
- Bye - you and Tommy said, even though you were the only ones who waved goodbye.
