Hailee's View

"How'd your date go yesterday?" Griffin asks.

"It went good, I think I like her." I say.

"When are you hanging out again?" Griffin asks.

"She said she was busy this weekend so probably Monday." I say.

My phone rings and Griffin grabs it.

"Speaking of her." Griffin says handing my phone to me.

I smile and answer the phone.

"Hello." I say.

"Hey." Y/n says.

"Hey." I say.

"I've got like an hour, maybe an hour and a half gap today if you wanna get lunch." Y/n says.

"Can I go?" Griffin whispers.

I shake my head and he groans.

"Yeah, sure." I say.

"Okay, cool. I'll text you in a few minutes." Y/n says.

"Okay, bye." I say.

"Bye." Y/n says before hanging up.

"Why can't I go?!" Griffin asks.

"We don't need a third wheel." I say.

"Ugh!" Griffin groans.

20 minutes later...

"You look tired, you okay?" I ask as Y/n hugs me.

"I am." Y/n says as we sit down.

"So why didn't get some rest?" I ask.

"Rather have spent some time with you." Y/n says.

I smile and nod.

"What a surprise." Someone says.

I turn my head and see Griffin and mom.

"Oh my god." I mumble.

"You know him?" Y/n asks.

"This is my older brother, Griffin, and my mother." I say.

"Oh. I'm Y/n." Y/n says.

"It's nice to meet you, big fan." Griffin says shaking Y/n's hand.

"What are you guys doing here?" I ask, looking at Griffin.

"Griffin offered to take me out to lunch." Mom says.

"Do you guys want to join us?" Y/n asks.

"Sure." Mom says.

"Move it, bitch." Griffin says shoving me over.

Mom hits Griffin and Y/n chuckles. I glare at Griffin and he smirks.

Time Skip

"I'm sorry about yesterday." I say.

"It's fine, your family's cool." Y/n says.

"Yeah, well, next time it should just be us." I say.

"Haha, okay." Y/n says, smiling.

"I'm flying to Vegas tomorrow for a game but I wanna see you before. Is it cool if I swing by your house tomorrow?" Y/n says.

"Yeah, I'll be home all day." I say.

"Okay, it'll probably be around noon." Y/n says.

"Just let me know." I say.

"I will. Goodnight." Y/n says.

"Goodnight." I say.

Y/n smiles and hangs up.
