Vol.2 Ch.3: Antares

In a distant realm, a goddess with flowing white hair and piercing blue eyes observed the unfolding drama involving Bell and Artemis. Frustrated by the recurring tragedy that seemed to haunt the love between Orion and Artemis, she decided to intervene. While she couldn't alter fate itself, she could shape the conclusion of their story.

Bell swiftly summoned his sword and knife, charging toward Antares with determination. "Gabriel," he chanted, causing his blades to resonate with a soft glow. The knife's blade took on a faint light purple hue, while the sword shimmered with a gentle blue. "RESONANCE!"

With precision, Bell cut apart the creature's legs and claws before attempting to strike its head. However, Antares retaliated swiftly, using its tail to knock Bell into a wall. The monster then targeted Artemis, aiming to absorb the last fragment of her and her power, but Bell reacted promptly.

"Fulgur Variation, FLASH!" Bell's command pierced the air as he darted forward at a staggering pace, rescuing Artemis from the impending danger. He charged once more, aiming flames at the creature. "Ignis Deviation, FLASH FIRE!" Bell called out, launching a barrage of flames, seamlessly transitioning back into fulgur mode. "Fulgur Variation, THUNDERCLAP!" Lightning strikes crackled toward the beast. Leaping into the air, his hand became enveloped in azure flames, then coated in violet lightning. "Arcane Combination, FIREBOLT!" Bell roared, unleashing a potent burst of fire wrapped in crackling lightning.

Despite Bell's powerful onslaught, Antares regenerated rapidly, showcasing superior healing abilities fueled by Artemis' Arcanum. Realizing this, Bell put away his knife and channeled his magic.

Chanting with determination, Bell invoked the power of his azure flames. "Ignis Deviation, CAMAEL!" The flames blazed with unprecedented intensity, driven by his anger and frustration.

Bell continued his assault, calculating every strike. However, Antares countered by smashing one of its claws into Bell, sending him tumbling. As Bell tried to recover, Antares opened its chest and fired a beam from its appendix, crystalizing Artemis. In a selfless act, Artemis moved in front of the blast, taking the full impact and dispersing into golden particles.

"Artemis..." Bell whispered as Hermes' group arrived, witnessing the heartbreaking scene. "Artemis!!!" Bell cried out, trying to reach her, but she had already vanished, leaving behind her final words.

"I love you, Orion..."

The moment Artemis disappeared, leaving behind golden particles, Bell fell to his knees, overwhelmed with grief. The air was filled with silence as the others watched in solemnity. The loss of Artemis struck everyone deeply, and Bell's pain was palpable.

Hermes approached Bell, placing a hand on his shoulder, offering what little comfort he could. "Bell, I'm sorry."

Bell wiped away his tears with a trembling hand, his emotions a turbulent storm. He looked up at Antares, his anger had reached its peak, and with a newfound determination burning in his eyes, Bell declared, "Enough is enough," his voice filled with anger. "Antares! You will suffer for this!"

Bell rose to his feet, his sorrow transforming into unwavering determination. The group, though still mourning, rallied behind him. Bell retrieved his weapons, a fiery determination in his eyes.

"Let's finish this," Bell said, addressing the group. "For Artemis, and for everyone who suffered because of this."

The group, with a shared understanding, prepared to face Antares once more. Bell, fueled by a mix of grief, anger, and determination, led the charge, ready to put an end to the tragedy that had unfolded.

The battle resumed, and Bell fought with newfound intensity. He unleashed a barrage of attacks, channeling his magic with a fierce determination. The group coordinated their efforts, striking at Antares with all their might. The battlefield was filled with the clash of weapons, the roars of the monstrous scorpion, and the echoes of spells.
