"These are pancakes. Eat them when you feel hungry, okay? And those are for lunch," Y/N rattled off hurriedly, gesturing towards the neatly arranged dishes on the table as she scurried around the apartment, gathering her essentials for the day ahead. "Also, I have Konpeito there on the shelf. You can eat them!" She added, tossing her phone into her handbag before finally meeting Jin's gaze.

"Where are you going?"

"Work. Remember what I said, okay?" She flashed him a brief smile, her mind already focused on the tasks ahead as she made her way towards the door. "I can come when it's dark or I can come before it's dark, so don't wait for me," she called out over her shoulder, slipping on her heels.

"Bye, and don't you dare touch the stove," she warned as she stepped outside, shutting the door behind her. A sound echoing through the digital door lock as she made her way towards the elevator with a heavy sigh.

Upon arriving at the hospital, she was greeted by the sight of Moyeon with her wide mischievous smile. "You're late," she remarked, her hands tucked behind.

"I had some stuff to take care of," Y/N mumbled in response.

"What stuff? Boyfriend?" Moyeon teased, earning a glare from the latter.

"Don't flatter yourself," Y/N retorted, pushing her shoulder as she started walking towards her cabin. Moyeon caught up with her, her mischievous smile never faltering as she skipped along the way. Y/N couldn't help but notice the stares of the others.

"Why is everyone staring at me?" She questioned Moyeon to which she simply hummed in response, her playful demeanor adding to the mystery as they entered into the confines of her cabin.

"Everyone knows," Moyeon said, settling into the swivel chair and twirling with a mischievous grin. Y/N stared at her in bewilderment before taking her seat.

"Knows what?" She asked, tilting her head.

"That you were seen going shopping with a man," Moyeon revealed, her grin widening as Y/N's eyes widened in shock. "I also heard he was hot," she added, leaning to her desk with a conspiratorial whisper.

"How did you know?!" Y/N exclaimed with raised eyebrows.

"Everyone's been talking about it. But I don't know how they know," she replied, reclining back in her chair with a sigh. "I thought you would never find someone," she admitted, her gaze softening as she looked towards Y/N.

"Bullshit..." Y/N mumbled, settling into her desk. "He's Taehyung's cousin," she lied, her voice faltering slightly as she rifled through the files on her desk, searching for a distraction.

"Cousin?" Moyeon furrowed her brows in confusion. "Then why were you with him yesterday and not Taehyung-ssi?"

"He had an important work, so he asked me to take him instead of him," she explained hastily, hoping to quell any further suspicions.

Moyeon once again grinned mischievously. "That means he's single, right? What's his name?" She asked eagerly as she rested her chin on her palms, her elbows propped on the desk.

"Kang Moyeon..." Y/N glared, scowling at her.

"Okay, fine. You can't hide it from me. One day, I'll get to know about him," she teased, winking before sauntering out of the cabin, leaving Y/N to stew in her exasperation.

"Oh, Mr. Jang wanted to see you," she called back with a teasing smile. "He's mad," she added teasingly before disappearing down the hallway.

Jang Mi-Kwan.

Just hearing his name made her stomach churn. With a groan, she took a deep breath and gathered her resolve before heading out of the cabin to face whatever awaited her.
