Once I go back on campus, my mood was somewhat better. Not entirely, but better. Enid was thrilled to see me.
I liked her too, so it wasn't that bad.
"(Name), you won't believe it! Enid squealed. "I'm sure I won't, I say, crossing my arms. "Is it about your Wednesday friend?"
"Well yeah, Enid said. "She might be into you." "Into me? Please, I laughed. "As far as I've at least encounter her, she doesn't care much for people."
"I'm sure of it, (Name). It's that feeling you get when you really like someone and have a feeling someone likes them too."
I roll my eyes. "Whatever you say, Enid. If it helps you sleep at night." Enid smiles. An eerie smile. But as the day went on, I noticed Wednesday around. Coincidence or not.
Wednesday was unsettling but harmless, well, I guess not. It was hard to say. So far though, things at Nevermore was just fine.
But what was strange was the boy named Rowan. "Hey! He said, approaching me out of the blue. He was shy, and had glasses. But seemed sweet. "You've got telekinesis right?"
I nodded. "So do I, it's a quite cool ability, He laughed nervously. "I suppose, I say. He seemed sweet and actually harmless overall.
I try not to make friends. A freak shouldn't have friends. And besides, what if people have ulterior motives? That's the reason, really.
"What's the matter? Enid said, one day as I was outsource, umbrella in hand as it rained. "Nothing, I prefer my emptiness of my soul, I tell her. "Well, that's interesting... She replied. "I'm kidding, I replied.
"Relief, She sighed. "thought you were like Wednesday." "Nothing wrong with her, Anyway, I like being by myself, mostly, I admit. "I wouldn't like being on my own. How do you do it?" "Being introverted, I chuckle. "Speaking of, why was... uh, Rowan being so weird earlier? Is he normally like that?"
"Oh him? Sure, everyone thinks he's weird, I wouldn't be concerned, Enid replied. "Maybe, but he seems weirder than normal, I point out. "Also uh, does Wednesday usually follow people around?"
"People she likes, Enid giggled. I sigh. "Feeding into your delusions." Enid was convinced Wednesday was, well, in love. But i don't think so. We don't really interact much. I keep her personal space, her own.
I headed over for lunch, when Wednesday scared me. "Jesus, you need something Wednesday? I asked her. "I... need help, She said. "Okay, You could've asked someone else? I say confused. She shakes her head.
"Okay, what do you need help with? I asked, being nice, or well, decent. I walk beside her, She doesn't say much, only she needs help. Not specifying. "Something weird is going on, ever since you come here, She finally spoke up.
I chuckle." Nevermore is, not ordinary. But, even more weird since i've arrived? I believe you, but not because of me." "Hm, your name being mentioned everywhere doesn't prove anything? Wednesday asked, her voice monotone, yet cold.
We walk further out. "No offense, I just, normally People who bring me out isolated have, uh, bad motives? I say, nervously.
"I promise. Nothing like that, yet."
I nod. I better not regret this.

Headed back in my dorm, I plop down on my bed. Wednesday did have some, good points. I used my telekinesis to keep my boredom at ease. We looked through the library, did some, i suppose, research.
Nothing.
But being on her plan, didn't seem so bad. I couldn't get her to warm up, which was fine, co-existing was decent enough for me. I slowly close my eyes, where my dreams plagued me.
I could visibly see blood. Screams, even. But walking further through fhe forest, his eyes were on mine. But no human eyes. the creature was huge, mid bite of his meal, turning in my direction. When I looked closer, I soon realized what it was.
This was no ordinary monster, then again, which monsters were normal? this was a hyde. I could only run, which i did.
I ran for my life.
I open my eyes, realizing i fell asleep. I slept through dinner, I assumed. My stomach growled. Firstly, I change. I needed some food. I sneak from my dormitory, hoping nobody would catch me in my pjs.
"(Name)?"
I freeze, I recognize the voice. Xavier, I think? "Hi, I simply say. "You missed dinner, He points out. I turn around. Now inches from me, I replied, "I didn't mean to. Simply fell asleep. Snuck out for food."
"Something weird is going on, ever since you came here."
"You think i really believe that? He asked. I cross my arm."I could ask why you're here. But I'm not." "Fine, I could help you, since I know my way, He offers. I think of his offer. He must be hiding something if he would rather believe me than explain why he was out.
"Okay, I replied. "But don't you know, be weird." Xavier chuckled. "I regret not going down for dinner, I murmur, while he leads me down for some food. My stomach growled louder. I keep my gourd up, if Wednesday is right then... I should make sure I don't do anything showing my vulnerability.
"You okay? He asks me. I nod. "I'm hungry." I didn't understand why he didn't believe me. But i guess I'm not trustworthy. "Here, be quick and quiet, He whispers. I nod. I eat some food, then begin walking back.
"Thank you, I said. "Now i won't tell anybody you were out." "I won't, either, He responds, smugly.
"Your intentions were unknown, mine were for food."
I headed back in my dorm, making sure I was subtle enough. But still, it made me wonder, why was he out? Everyone has their own secrets, I guess. Just like I do. But still would be curious. Because of my dream, I couldn't sleep.
Why did one of those appear in my dreams? More specifically , why was I in it? Well, it is my own dream. I never had thought of hydes in years.
very odd.
