"...Fuck off"

"I'm gonna fucking kill myself" Taylor complained, falling onto his bed, as you laid on yours.

"Why?" You asked, sitting up.

"Cause...people are throwing a stupid gala for Brink and I gotta go" He complained.

"Oh...don't you have to pay for that?" You asked.

"Well...my dad was invited and wanted me as his plus one so I could...'network'" He sighed, looking legitimately pissed.

"Damn...well I'll probably just be here...need to figure a few things out" You hummed, looking into the bathroom to see the reflection looking back at him, Marc.

"Hella nah man, saw you with Madison the other day...should hang with her" Taylor chuckled.

"Yeah...no...no I don't think I'm gonna do that" You protested. "Don't wanna come off as desperate"

"Fine, I'm done giving you relationship advice if you're not gonna take it" Taylor shrugged. Half lying.

Soon there was a knock at the door, and you went to open it, not seeing any one, but rather a floating pair of glasses and a hat.

It belonged to Maverick, Translucent's son, and it was most likely because of the lineage that he was given a more involved role in the school.

"Can I help-" You went to say, but interrupted.

"Yeah, Dean Shetty wants to see you, says its important" Maverick said, as you looked to Taylor, your eyes wide.

"Uh yeah, I'll get on that" You nodded, going to close the door.

"And turn your fucking phone on, I'm not a messenger" Maverick complained, as the door was closed on him.

"Dude...Dean Shetty wants to see you?" Taylor asked, standing up. "Why?"

"I-I don't know" You chuckled a little.

"Well go fucking find out, she probably wants to give you like a medal or something, cause you totally saved everyone by fighting Golden Boy" Taylor smiled.

"Yeah right" You rolled his eyes slightly. Looking subtly to the bathroom mirror again.

"Don't"

You heard the distinctive accent of Marc, and decided to pay it no mind, heading towards Shetty's office.

"I just wanted to have a little talk...see how you're doing" Shetty asked, as you sank into his chair.

"Uh, fine" You said, most of the time you weren't fine, but 'fine' is just what people say when they don't really know what they're feeling.

"Are you sure you're fine?" Shetty asked, looking down at her tea. "We've had a few concerned students"

"Concerned?" You asked confused. "Why uh...why would they be concerned?"
