Ron opened his eyes, a banging on his door waking him up.
"Ron. It's time to get up." Mercer said from the other side of door.
He sighed, looking at the clock. It was six am.
He got up, unhappy now. He opened his door, Mercer and a few other soldiers waiting there for him."It's six in the morning. What do you want?" He asked.
"Your mom has asked me to train you like a soldier. She says you need to be able to protect yourself better. You're lucky. Most of my trainees get up early than this." Mercer explained, the soldiers behind him shaking their heads in agreement and remembering their training.
"Is this because of Carl?" Ron said, not interested in being trained.
"I don't know who that is." Mercer replied, looking back his soldiers. They shrugged their shoulders, also not knowing him.
"Ok. So it's definitely about Carl then. No way it's about Celeste. She's like ten." He said, pretty sure he knew what was going on.
"I don't know Carl or Celeste. This is about you, sir." Mercer clarified."Please don't call me that. And it's never about me. If it wasn't about Carl then Sebastian would have to come too." Ron observed.
"Sebastian does regular training as well." Mercer pointed out."Not at six in the morning. I'll get dressed." Ron said, shutting his door.
He leaned against it for a moment, annoyed by his mother. She always did this. He wasn't allowed to have any friends that weren't good for her image.
If Sebastian's girlfriend, Kayla, hadn't had a mother that was close with Pamela they probably wouldn't have been allowed to date. In fact, that's probably why they were dating. Surely if there had been a boy his age with rich parents they would have to date as well. He didn't want a fake boyfriend though. He wanted a boy that he actually liked.

Rick and Daryl entered the apartment with the food in their hands.
"There you are! It's been forever!" Judith shouted over the loud music their neighbors were playing."The line was long." Rick said, setting the food down in the floor as they didn't have a table.
"What?" Judith asked, unable to hear him over the noise."The line! It was long!" He repeated himself.
Carl opened one of the containers of food and smiled. He was hungry.
"Hey Carl? What did you say that boys name was you were hanging out with?" Daryl said, sitting next to him."Ron." Carl answered, picking up his fork.
"Is this him?" He said, handing him a newspaper.Carl looked at the headline.
"The Miltons celebrate nine years of the commonwealth with speeches and fairs!" It said. He looked at the picture, seeing Ron next to the president and another guy.
"Yeah. That's him." Carl said, reading a bit of the article.
