I original wrote "Unnoticed" nearly a decade ago for a writing contest hosted by Polar Expressions Publishing short story contest and it won an honorable mention and was published in a collection of short stories.
It is the only story I have ever written in second-person POV and I purposely chose the format so that a reader might feel more immersed in the story.
This is hardly the best story, short or otherwise, that I have ever written but it has always held a special place in my heart not only because it won a small acknowledgement but also because of the questions it stirred during the writing process.
I hope readers enjoy this short story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
