Hey guys, so sorry I haven't updated in a while but I've been really busy with school work. I've had this epilogue written for a while and after what happened in Argentina tonight I felt we all needed an update. I will come back and add more chapters in between but for now, enjoy their happily ever after.
Travis and I have been together for over a year and a half now. It's the closing night of the Era's tour and I'm sad to say goodbye to the best adventure of my life. I'll miss it so much but I also know that I can finally start my life with Travis properly once it's done. I've just finished the lover set, winking at Travis in the tent when singing the songs. He demanded his coach to let him come tonight as it's closing night tonight and he didn't want to miss it.
I quickly change into my fearless fringe dress and grab my guitar, also taking a sip of water. The music starts and I skip out the door. Fearless has always been one of my favourite albums. It was the one that broke me into the world. It's always had a special place in my heart.
*I would recommend listening to Love Story while reading this*
The fans scream along to You Belong With Me and I get sad thinking how this might not happen for a while after tonight. The starting chords of Love Story begin and the Starlights and I begin our choreography, strutting down the stage to the beat.
"We were both young when I first saw you. I close my eyes and the flashbacks start" I sing. In the corner of my eye I notice the screens change behind me. I quickly turn around, still singing, and see that the edges of the screen are filled with selfies, photos and videos of Travis and me. My head whips to him in the tent.
"See the lights see the party the ballgowns" I sing, giving him a confused look, he shrugs at me. "See you make your way through the crowd and say hello" Travis runs out of the tent, through the crowd, toward backstage and my confused eyes follow him until he disappears. Remembering where I am and what I'm doing, I continue. I am a professional after all.
"You were Romeo you were throwing pebbles" Petal confetti starts to drop onto the stage. What the actual fuck is happening? Someone is getting fired tonight. I turn to look at my backup singers and band, seeing if they know what's happening. They're all smiling cheerfully. The one time I need them to be unprofessional.
The photos of Travis and I haven't stopped playing yet and they change to the beat of the song. Travis is missing from the tent and is now where to be found. I continue singing through the second verse.
My band and I make our way to the end of the stage. Looking down at the crowd I notice that my Mom, Dad, Brother, Blake, Ryan, Sophie and Gigi are standing in front of the stage. Oh my gosh, what are they doing here? I quickly squeeze their hands as I see them and my dad passes me a friendship bracelet. It's gold with white writing and white hearts on it. He talked to me it says.
"What?" I mouth at him. He shrugs at me. What is it tonight with men in my life shrugging? Just give me an answer. I slide it onto my wrist, confused as to why my Dad is being so cryptic.
I continue singing, moving up the stage and seeing Mama Kelce, Jason, Kylie and their girls in the crowd. I wave frantically at them. What is happening?? Wyatt is in Kylie's arms and puts her hands together to make a heart in the air. I blow her a little kiss and Kylie winks at me.
Walking back to the centre of the stage for the bridge I step over all the rose petal confetti that's fallen on the stage.
"I got tired of waiting, wondering if you were ever coming around" My band and backup singers don't stop when they're meant to be on the stage, walking to the main stage and positioning themselves in front of the screen. What is actually happening?
"My faith in you was fading," I turn around and look at them confused "When I met you on the outskirts of town" The door to the stage opens and Travis stands there smiling from ear to ear. A collective gasp is heard around the stadium and one from me as well.
Travis starts walking towards me, patting Paul on the back as he walks past him. "I said Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone" He places his hand on his heart, jokingly frowning and I accidentally let a little laugh out into the microphone.
Travis reaches me "Is this in my head I dont know what to think" Travis kneels to the ground and pulls out a ring. Stunned, I stop singing. Travis pulls out a microphone as the golden lights fill the stadium and sing (or at least tries to sing) "Marry me, Juliet, you'll never have to be alone I love you and that's all I really know, I've talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress, it's a love story, baby just say yes"
My backup singers take over as I nod frantically at Travis. He places the mic on the floor and slides the ring onto my finger. He stands up and I leap into his arms and kiss him hard, wrapping my arms around his neck. When we break apart Travis and I both sing into my mic "Cause we were both young when I first saw you" The stage takes us down as we kiss again.
