Undeniable Attraction

Chapter 3: The Encounter

A medium-sized concert ground packed with crowds holding a color-changing glow stick and jumping to the beat of the music, full of joy and enthusiasm, being performed by the four young idols on stage-that's what greeted Net upon entering the place.

He came an hour behind schedule as he had to finish filming promotional content for a brand he's currently working for, which resulted in him witnessing the wildness of the audience vibing along as the event is currently at its peak. Truth be told, he's not really that familiar with the band that was the star of tonight, as the only reason he was here was all because his manager urged him to accept the free ticket handed out by one of his co-artists in his upcoming drama series.

"It's a good thing you came earlier than expected; the concert still has an hour or so left, so you can still enjoy it." Zee, his senior signed under the same agency who also happened to be his celebrity friend, greeted Net after being directed to his assigned seat by the staff.

The young actor nodded his head in acknowledgement after greeting the others, then focused his eyes on the performance on stage. Although he's not familiar with the idols, he's already here, so he might as well just enjoy the night and let loose a little.

The young singers are very talented, and it didn't take long for him to actually start vibing into their music, his body moving along the beat. As they are situated in the VIP corner, where well-known faces are mostly seated, they couldn't really make out the faces of the performers that well if they were to watch them on stage, so they opted to watch the show on the big LED screen.

Each member of the performer has their own individual charm that captivates the hearts of the audience. However, for him, one person stands out the most: the stunning man with a pointy small nose, eyes shying away whenever his plump lips stretch into the cutest smile, resulting in his cheek bulging a little and his skin so fair it glows under all that lighting, who he can't help but notice since the very beginning. The actor couldn't help but savor the moment of hearing that deep, mellow voice every time the idol sang his part with clarity. Hidden excitement behind each word can be heard as he sings.

As they have been singing while dancing to a rather difficult choreography for more than 2 hours now, the idols on stage couldn't help but slowly feel the fatigue and start to breathe heavily, albeit barely audible. However, these did not stop them from putting in as much effort as when they first started each of their performances.

James in particular seems to be fueled by so much adrenaline that his every move is still so slick and full of impact, especially during his part where he had to sing the bridge of the song, which needs to be done in a seductive way. He holds his microphone closer to his mouth with his left hand, his knuckles touching the tip of his nose, while his right hand is moving along the beat. As he sang his part, he looked straight to the camera, which is now solely focusing on him while pointing his forefinger, then licked said finger while sending a wink, a smug grin never leaving his lips the entire time. The crowd wildly screams at the top of their lungs. The stadium is now covered in a deafening scream after what he's done, to which he just arrogantly shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to dance like nothing happened.

Net, who was watching everything unfold on the big screen, couldn't help but gulp, his lips slightly ajar and his eyes with a hint of confusion and disbelief.

"That was...something." The actor couldn't help but think to himself as he tried so hard to understand what he's currently feeling. He's genuinely confused as to why, despite the deafening noise from the crowd, he can still hear his heart beating so fast, like it's threatening to leave its ribcage. It's a good thing the strong vibration of his phone in his front pocket took his attention away from his thoughts because he honestly didn't know how to comprehend the mixed emotions he felt after witnessing such a scene.
