The room was dimly lit and locked, the three prisoners were still passed out with their hands tied above their heads and heads hanging low because of their unconscious state. They were in the middle of nowhere only the person who held them captive knew where they were.

The whole house was protected by a spell, no one can find the house, no one knew where it was and most of all only person can come in. Paul.

Zoe moaned as she lifted her head, the stiffness in her neck was almost unbearable when she tried to crack her neck in order to relief her stiff neck. When the pain in the neck calmed and she was able to flex her neck, she looked around the empty dim room. She looked at both her cousins and realized they were both still passed out. She had tried to see if she had enough strength to break the ropes that tied her hands but she couldn't do much. She had to think of a way to get out of this hell hole but she needed the twins to wake up.

"Psssh...pssssh... Eleanor" she whispered, she didn't want to be loud God knows what was outside that door.

She tried several moments to wake her cousin up but she only starred a bit before her eyes started opening into tiny slits. As for Ethan, he didn't even move. The only source that he was still alive was his steady breathing. Eleanor flexed her neck just as Zoe did until she was able to move her head without feeling any pain.

"Finally" Zoe said. She had meant for it to sound like she was relieved but it came out as a sarcastic remark.

"Don't start" Eleanor said her voice sounding like she hasn't drank water for years.

"I'm sorry okay, it hasn't been easy" Zoe apologized

"Oh and this has been easy for me?" Eleanor snapped. Zoe let out a long sigh, this was not going as well as she imagined it would go.

"Look lets just drop it and try find a way out" Zoe tried

"Tell me something" Eleanor started, when Zoe nodded she asked the question that's been bothering her.

"Why Frank?" Zoe's heart broke at the thought of the betrayal she felt when Frank turned against her. She couldn't understand why it was always important for him to please Dmitri. She had fallen for the vampire and she had let him take her virginity but still he didn't think twice when he betrayed her.

"I thought we had something special" she whispered answering her cousin

"What about your mate? What was going to happen when you found him?"

"I don't believe in the whole mate thing. Look where it got you" she chuckled bitterly. Eleanor knew that Zoe was right, they were all in this mess because of some person she believed was her mate, everything that happened was her fault. Zoe lost a sister because of her position as the queen, Ethan was unconscious because he was trying to save her, James got a heart attack because of all the things that happened and for that she felt responsible for all things that had happened and she planned on fixing things. She wasn't sure how she was going to fix things but she was determined to try.

"I know everything that happened was caused but my existence but I will fix things" she admitted out loud

"The only thing that will fix things is if you cease to exist" Zoe argued and it hurt her to know the truth about how her cousin felt about her, it was clear she blamed her as well.

"I'm sorry" she whispered. She was sorry of what happened to her family.

"It doesn't matter" to Zoe it didn't matter a part of her did blame Eleanor for everything that happened but she knew, if she died the whole elemental kingdom will suffer.
