Chapter 12

Naglalakad kami ni Madison dito sa labas ng bahay namin, side by side at halos magkadikit ang mga kamay namin. Ang peaceful ng ganitong paligid, walang katao tao at kahit anong ingay.

Pero napaka peaceful dahil katabi ko sya.

Actually parang walang  misunderstanding na nangyari sa pagitan naming dalawa. We forget and move on. Ganon naman dapat diba?

"Na hot seat ka ba nila?" I feel bad baka kasi masyadong maraming tinanong si Papa sa kanya.

Madison sniff the air and close her gently  — wow ang haba ng eyelashes nya. "Not really Silvana."

It's very rare that she will call me Vana, kailangan talaga full name. Feel na feel nya eh.

I just stare at her. Ewan ko ba pero parang laging may magnet na humihila sa mata ko sa mukha nya. "You are so beautiful tonight Madison."

The Ice Queen didn't show any single emotions though, sana all sanay sa compliments. Ako kasi feeling ko binibiro ako o  mangungutang pag sinabihan na maganda. "I've been told, thank you."

With this kind of conversation. Like cold and all the emptiness in her - it makes me wonder why she reacted like that yesterday. "Madison."

The wind brushes through her silky and smooth hair. "Mm?"

"May nagawa ba ako para maging cold ka sakin?" Straight to the point ko na tanong.

I want to know para naman mabigyan ko ng katwiran ang sarili ko because I'm a very confrontational person — gusto ko lahat pinag-uusapan.

At huminto sya sa paglalakad. So i do too.

"Actually.." Huminga sya ng malalim before focusing in me. "Wala."

Hindi ko alam kung maniniwala ba ako sa kanya o hindi.

— instead, my mind replay everything happened that night even from the morning pero wala akong maalala na nagawa ko aside from Leslie..

Oh sh*t.

Is that it? Nakita nya?

If yes, bakit sya nagagalit.

Oh f*ck, nagseselos si Madison?

If yes ulit, kanino? Kay Leslie ba o sakin.

Grabe hindi ko na alam.

Pero siguro okay na magkasama kaming dalawa ngayon para matanong ko si Madison about Leslie and whatnot. To be honest I like Madison. Well like is such an understatement but if ever i pursue my feelings for her ay gusto ko muna malinawan sa issues nilang dalawa ni Leslie — dahil hindi ko pinangarap maging rebound o kabit.

Nagtitigan kami ni Madison na feeling namin kami lang dalawa sa mundo sa mga oras na to.

"Do you still love Leslie?"

I'm expecting even just a small reaction from her pero wala talaga. Ice Queen nga talaga. "I can't remember that i ever loved her Silvana."

"But.." I'm about to argue.

But she immediately cut me off. "It was only a special friendship."

May iba na palang term ang mutual understanding ngayon, the special friendship.

I'm kind of feel bad for Leslie. "You broke her heart."

"No." At ngumiti si Madison sakin. "Her heart is never mine Silvana." Naspeechless na ako, kasi parang kada tanong ko may malupitan syang sagot. "Any questions?"

"Pag-iisipan ko pa." Natawa nalang ako.

At nilahad nya sakin ang kamay nya, again her fingers are so beautiful - they are long and very perfectly shape like candles.  "Shall we my lady?"
