Bewildered by the incident earlier, rinsing your hair in the shower. Your mind was preoccupied by thoughts of that letter. You aren't even sure it was a letter.

Little over two hours ago, you received the leery package. Claiming you're married, and whatever blabber of multiple people entranced into being your husband?!

The shower clears your trammeled mind. Hindering your mood. An obstruction of alluring feelings, and bewilderment.

How did they know your name? Where do you live? Where and how did you find that ring?! Are they hot?! FOCUS (Y/N)!!

You opened your eyes, streaming shampoo into the drain. Letting your engulfed mind distend from overthinking as you eyed the ring around your finger still.

The jewelry that laid on your ring finger in the shower, espouse said by them. You weren't marrying anyone. You would never betray your first and foremost love  (f/fc) and even if you did betray (f/fc) you would never consent to such ahem- as your distant English aunt would like to say, tomfoolery.

[Note: (f/fc) is the fictional character mc simps for the most currently, cuz why not  ]

You let the water dowse on your head, the scorching temperature only rippling your splitting headache so much. This was all too much for you.

[Note: The author is also concerned about Mc's hair being washed in scalding hot water ]

THE NEXT NIGHT.

You were at work. Bickering with nuisances that can't be ordered right then blame you for their faults.

"That lady didn't ask for a Danish.. or did she? Did she (Y/N)?!" Your coworker, Embry again condemned herself for getting the order "wrong."

"Even if she did, if she screams at you again. She will feel the wrath of my broom." You grimaced. "Some people's composure.."

"The all forbidden broom." Embry shuddered, and then she laughed. "But seriously, I get used to it, don't worry about me."

"Now don't go beating people again." Embry bonked you, bribery of hers being a hug, so you guess you can refrain from beating people to a pulp.

"I'm gonna get something from the back, hold down the fort for me," Embry informed.

You continued to sweep rubbish from the tile into the garbage. Sighing at the door. The bell of the front door clinked to indicate a customer.

"Welcome—" Sweeping your eyes around the room. Coiling your eyes around. Compassing the space.

Nobody. It wasn't windy to that extent. No way the door flung open at that latitude in the small breeze outside.
