It's the annual Halloween Party that the TF141 held every year. It was something small, getting everybody hyped up for Christmas and to just spread some smiles around. It was always themed costumes, last year being TV Characters. You went as Walter White which made a lot of laughs pass around, Ghost went as Michael Myers - not surprised as it was masked; Soap went as Simon from The Inbetweeners; Gaz went as Tolkien from South Park which was quite a funny sight to see - he even brought a base guitar; Price went as Ned Flanders and even managed to find a recipe for the hot cocoa he made in the Simpsons Movie. It was an amazing time, the right amount of fun for the whole task force.

It's the 30th of October and you're pinning up some minor decorations, getting halloween plates and cups ready for all of the force to enjoy tomorrow night. This year's costume theme was Cowboys so you managed to get some tiny cowboy hats to dot around the lounge room, where we always celebrated. It was your fourth year on the force, befriending every soldier you came across and forming unseperable bonds with everybody there. However, the one you were closest to was the man called Price. He's the highest - the captain. He made sure to comfort you when things went wrong and directed you into the right places, on the battlefield and with your emotions.

Recently, your relationship has slightly evolved to become slightly more romantic. He has become a bit more playful with you, dropping slight flirtatious marks and complimenting you, with you returning the exchanges, your rosy cheeks visible. Every time he crosses your mind, your cheeks would glow pink and a smile would creep onto your lips, with you shyly covering it even if nobody was there. You wasn't sure what it was, but you knew it made your heart race and your face ruddy.

As you prepare the drinks and the decorations, adding on the final touches, the door to the lounge room swings open. Your head turns, alerted by the noise, only to see Price walking towards you wearing some plaid pajama pants and a baggy black t-shirt, which shocked you as you never really saw him without an uniform on other than for special occasions.

"Hey there, still working on all of this?" he asked, wanting to persue a conversation. His eyes lingered around the room, at all of the handmade and store bought decorations; how you had laid out cups and napkins, got the drinks organised and had prepared snacks which were about to go into the mini-fridge before Soap ate them all in the morning. Despite his gaze wandering the room, you felt it bore into you more than anything else, with the two of you making eye contact longer than he cared to look at the decorations.

"Yeah, I don't want to mess anything up." you reply, a slight chuckle in your words and a smile forming on your lips. You turn your body fully towards Price, to which he steps closer slightly. You sit on the counter you were preparing everything on, with the final touches beside you, and he sits on the frame of the sofa adjacent. His veiny hands grip the backboard of the sofa, making your eyes trail from his to his arms. A low chuckle erupts from him.

"You should really get some sleep. It's almost eleven." he states, raising an eyebrow as your eyes meet his again. A smile is plastered on his face, making his chops go up slightly and his eyes crease.

"Yeah, I really should." you conclude, hopping off of the counter and rubbing your eye slightly, still looking at him. "Goodnight, Price. I'll see you tomorrow."

You begin to walk to the door of the lounge room to leave before you hear his voice call out to you, lowly but loud enough for it to brush upon your ears, as if he were right behind you.

"Goodnight. Get some sleep, love." he replies, a grin traced through his words. Your cheeks flare slightly and your pace startles; you stop walking then walk a bit faster from the shock of the pet name he just addressed you as. Love? Was that him flirting? Did he mean to say that? You leave the lounge room, giggling slightly as the door closes and you walk to your bedroom.
