A/N: I just did a few changes of the casts, I changed Jungkook to Sehun. (I'm sorry for the sudden changes T^T) but here you go!

After a rough, distracted start to her classes, Mina had finally been able to push away her unsavory thoughts and focused her attentions onto her studies. Maths wasn't a real struggle, as she had covered most of the content during the summer holidays, and spent some of the time writing up some exam and revision notes for Sehun during the second half of the period, even though she wasn't completely sure if she would actually see him again, but part of her was hoping that she would.

He seemed like a nice, genuine guy, and she wouldn't be opposed to being friends with him. People like him were easy for her to get along with— studious, easygoing, kind. Safe. He was the kind of guy her mum would be ecstatic to see her bringing home, the type of guy Jeongyeon would immediately take a liking to. He was the type of guy that she, one day, could probably see herself dating.

One day.

The other morning classes dragging on slowly, her stomach rumbling by the time recess came rolling around. She didn't bother trying to meet up with Jennie during the short break, choosing to head to her next classroom early and have a snack there. Tables were arranged neatly in rows, each table seating two people side by side. The tables had long since been defiled with graffiti and etched doodles, and the underside of the tables were no doubt caked with gum crusts nd other unmentionables. Now, sitting in the classroom alone, air conditioner lazily whirring in the background, she let out a sigh of relief.

Since their awkward encounter before class, she hadn't seen or heard Chaeyoung anywhere, and felt her muscles loosen with the thought that she probably cut class and left campus after her smoke. Maybe she left with that guy from this morning, or another one that crawled out from her posse. Either way, she wasn't here, so Mina was happy— it was nice not having to look over her shoulder and duck around corners to avoid the girl.

Ripping open a pack of biscuits and popping a few into her mouth, she opened up the book she was reading on the train this morning, a small smile on her face as she leaned her head against her open palm, elbow on the table. Time passed slowly, the only noise in the room was her turning pages and occasional crunching noises, the loud buzz of conversation outside the door and a muffled drone in the background. Halfway through the twenty minute recess, the door suddenly burst open, making her jump in her seat, the biscuit in her fingers clattering onto the table in a sea of crumbs.

Her hair now combed through a bit better, hair mussed back but still little strands falling loose from behind her ears, Chaeyoung stood in the doorway, her brows creased. Mina noted that she was no longer wearing her school uniform, but had changed into what Mina assumed was her training gear for basketball, she must've had it last period. Her dark eyes were shining with something unrecognizable. Mina's mouth popped open when Chaeyoung closed the door behind her, the frame rattling with the brash force she put into it, long legs soon striding over to stand beside the chair to Mina's right.

"Don't you dare take that seat," she pleaded mentally, eyes flickering between Chaeyoung's form and the seat next to her. "Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't— oh shit."

Chaeyoung pulled the back of the chair out, feet screeching against the ground, before dropping her weight onto it. She didn't say anything as she pushed the chair further back to kick her legs up onto the desk. Mina gulped as Chaeyoung let out an exhausted sigh and crossed her arms over her chest, the singlet sleeved of her basketball top revealing a sports bra beneath it and the tattoos scattered across her left and little tattoos in her right arm. The pattern rippled as her small muscles flexed, her neck rolling as she tried to find a comfortable position in the stiff seats, settling down with her eyes closed.
