"Sorry, I have a training session during lunch," Nayeon mumbled through a mouthful of sandwich, waving to the others as she briskly walked past the table with her sport bag in hand. Sehun didn't even look up as he waved her goodbye, too busy focusing on his meal to even look up.

"You glutton," Mina teased, Sehun giving her a faux frown as he poked her in the side, only able to hold the face for a moment before breaking out into a wide grin.

"Nothing is gonna get between me and my mom's pasta bake, alright?" Sehun said, stabbing his fork through a clump of pasta and waving it in front of her face before popping it into his mouth, nodding in satisfaction.

"Like I said, glutton," she re-emphasized, Sehun just humming as he ignored her comment, though he smiled as he chewed. He managed to look up from his meal as he felt Chanyeol approaching, his brow rising as Chanyeol was carrying a stack of library books in his hands, his lunch balancing on top of the pile.

"Studying at lunch?" Mina asked, Chanyeol giving her a sheepish smile.

"I have to work on my history paper. Let's just say that... my mom wasn't too happy with my last grade," Chanyeol said, waving at the two of them with his fingers as his muscles flexed with the weight of his books.

"Well, Chanyeol and Nayeon are out," Sehun after swallowing, looking around the courtyard for the rest of his friends. "Did Momo make it out of the lunch line alive?"

"Probably not," Mina snorted, squinting her eyes through the window of the cafeteria to try and find Momo, but to no success. "What about Sana?"

"Dead," Sehun said, smirking a little as he referred to their textual conversation in the morning. She laughed as he motioned him throwing Sana out of the train and loud splat, Sehun making animated sound effects as he tried not to laugh alongside Mina.

"Really though" she asked, Sehun shrugging.

"I think she said he had detention," Sehun said, before leaning in to bring his lips close to her ear. "Heard she was chatting up a guy in class, even though the teacher told her to stop talking. And you know Sana..."

"She doesn't stop talking," Mina finished, Sehun laughing, his breath tickling her neck. She was suddenly overly alert to how the side of his body was pressed into hers, his thigh hot against her leg.

"Exactly," Sehun said, pulling back a little to return to his food. She felt herself calm as the distance between them increased, her hand picking at the sandwich in front of her. Sehun noticed that she wasn't exactly fond of the bland bread in her hands, and nudged her side. She gave him a confused look as a forkful of pasta hovered in front of her face, Sehun grinning.

"Try some," he said, eyes soft as he wiggled the fork a little. She feigned a gasp as she met his eyes, Sehun's lips twitching.

"You're sacrificing your precious pasta bake? For me? Is the world ending?"

"Shut up and just eat it, Mina," Sehun said, pressing the fork against her closed lips, which swiftly opened. Sehun laughed as some of the sauce smeared against the corner of her mouth as she clamped down on the fork, which was pulled out from her lips moments after. Chewing quickly, finding the pasta a little too salty, she told him that it was good, the boy beside her laughing as she nodded.

"Yeah, my mom makes really good pasta bake. No one does it like her!"

I bet Chaeyoung could.
