strict parents - seungjin ✓

chapter seven

another day was over, hyunjin was a bit sulky since the school was closed early and he couldn't have extra classes with seungmin. also because seungmin kind of avoided him the whole day. but the thing is, he actually needed to study since he had a test the next day. so not only because of seungmin, he was sulky about not having extra classes.

he waited for the younger by the gates, and when he finally found him, he called him over.

"seungmin!"

"go home and we'll revise tomo-"

"i actually have a test tomorrow, i need help"

"but we can't study in school.."

"maybe come to my house? or we could study at a convenience store?"

the younger thought about it for a bit.

"your house is far, isn't it?"

"yeah, but.. you know-"

"i don't like public places, so you can come to my house" the brunet said, taking hyunjin's hand and leading him to the bus stop.

the older couldn't help but smile as seungmin made the move, well, that's what he likes to think, and just let him lead him wherever.

they got off the bus and finally reached the kim's place.

"your place is nice.." hyunjin said as he looked around the yard. the younger still holding his hand, leading him to the porch. he opened the door and they both walked inside.

"mom, i'm home. brought a friend to study" the younger said and his mother immediately came running down the stairs. it startled hyunjin a bit. "nice to meet you, mrs. kim" he immediately bowed. the boy's mother chuckled.

"nice to meet you too, what's your name?"

"my name is hwang hyunjin, ma'am."

"if you're gonna study, you guys can go to seungminnie's room. i'll make something to eat"

hey, are his parents actually not strict or is she genuinely just nice to me? hyunjin thought to himself as he followed seungmin to his room.

they settled down and started their lessons, seungmin was talking less than other days. well, hyunjin too since he was scared of seungmin's parents.

"hey. your mom's actually nice, minnie"

"she'd kill you if she knew i kissed you" the younger said as he wrote down some questions for the other. "that's why i introduced you as a friend"

"i'm not your friend- then what am i?"

"forget what i said."

the lessons were over, hyunjin couldn't thank seungmin enough for helping him for his tests. seungmin walked the older back the bus stop and waited until one arrived.

"see you tomorrow minnie~ thank you for helping!"

"see you tomorrow jinnie" the puppy boy smiled, waving at him.

oh my gosh, he called me jinnie hyunjin's heart skipped a beat. he waved back at the boy as the bus drove off.

seungmin sighed, slowly walking back to his house, kicking some pebbles along the way.

it was almost dinner time, and so he went to the kitchen to help his mother cook.

"i've never met that friend of yours, since when did you guys start hanging out?" his mother asked as she was chopping the vegetables. seungmin stayed quiet, washing his hands. "oh wait. he's the guy you were set up to tutor, right?" the boy nodded.

"can't believe i'm saying this but, he looks like your boyfriend, seungmin"

the brunet felt himself blush a bit. "does he perhaps have any lover?"

"no, but he's like.. the campus crush"

"you should try to get to know him more. he's cute"

"mom!"

"you probably think that too"

seungmin sighed, turning the faucet off. "i actually do. but i was scared to accept my feelings since you guys are really, really strict especially when it comes to something that distracts me from my education"

"if you can control it, we don't mind it. we never even scold you for listening to music 24/7 since it doesn't affect your studying" his mom shrugged. "we don't mind you having a lover, whatsoever, as long as your grades don't drop"

".. thanks, mom"

"we want what's best for you, sweetie. after your exams, let's invite all your friends for dinner, okay?" she ruffled her son's hair. the boy's eyes lit up in excitement. "do you mean it?"

"yeah, your exams are quite near. when you finally have holiday, we'll let you free a bit. you're old now, so i trust you won't choose to ruin yourself"
