A female voice....

"The streets were very busy this morning. People were lining up in all the stores, buying all the necessities and preparing for the upcoming . However, as the sun sets in the west, the crowds begin to disperse as fog surrounds the empty roads. They all locked their doors while wearing the shield, believing that it would protect their lives, and went to bed by covering their entire body with a bed cloth, not even leaving a gap for their breath to escape. Welcome to the winter season!”

And she came to a halt when a hand with a visible vein approached the car's infotainment system and his finger swiped for the video call.

"Hello, Zane!" a sweet voice called out.
It's dark in the caller's view. After a few seconds, someone turned the camera to reveal their face. And the owner of the voice was a young adult wearing a cross over neck scarlet fishtail gown and a golden with white stone placed crown on top of her ombre curly hair. A tiny gold stud on her ears further enhances her beauty. Her makeup blends flawlessly with her skin, making it difficult to tell the difference.

"I really want to say this. Selah, you look stunning in the middle of those stage lights," Zane remarked.

Selah smiled and looked around to see that the screen was completely closed.
After making certain that no one was in her vicinity. She leaned in closer to the camera and said, "You look hot even in this casual white shirt."

He chuckled and added, "If anyone hears you, they'll definitely think you're flirting with me."

"I don't even give a..." she was interrupted by him.

"Stop. I got it," he said as he brushed his hair back. "By the way, are you going somewhere?" she inquired as she noticed him driving. He told her he was on his way home. "To the alley," she asked.
He pulled the break as he was about to hit a man after responding "yes" to her and looking through the car's glass.

"Are you alright?" Zane enquired of the stranger. Selah, on the other hand, inquired as to what had occurred. He told her he was about to hit a man. She told him to apologise.

"Sorry," he said as he rolled down the car window. "I couldn't see anything properly because there was fog everywhere," and waited for his response, but the stranger began walking on the road while using his phone without saying anything to Zane. It's not that the stranger didn't hear Zane because there are no other vehicles besides Zane's.

Selah called his name twice because she couldn't see him. "I believe he didn't take it seriously. He left without saying anything," he said, before asking what her favourite song was and his gaze was drawn to the silent road, where he could only hear the stranger's footsteps mixed with the sound of cold wind.

“I love pop music. How about you?" He hasn't responded yet, but he is still on the line. So she asked him again. "Zane! What's yours?"

He looked into the camera and said, "Same as yours; I'm hanging up now."

The phone call has come to an end.
"Eric, I can see you." When she noticed him hiding behind the screen, Saleh called her manager. Eric apologised and told her he was waiting for her because her concert was about to start.

"Why..?" Selah pondered.

"I didn't think you would get angry over this small thing," Eric said in a raspy voice.

"Not you. Zane. He lied to me just now."

"Don't get me wrong, Selah. I overheard your conversation. Maybe he would have liked that song as well."

"No! He always likes that one."

Eric inquired, "What is his favourite song?"

"There's this song called
Cross my heart.
I hope you die.
Welcome to my dark side," she said exactly.
