"HOW DID YOU get there?" she mumbled to herself, staring the cat that was stuck on top branch. It meows at you. It's paw the branch attempting to get down by itself, but take a step back like before.

"Where's my brother when I need help?"

She raised her hands to use her powers but hesitated, scared knowing that she's not fully understood and knows her power might hurt the poor cat.

The cat meows once more and much louder than before. She puts her phone and bag down to the ground, "I mean, how hard can it be climbing trees? I've done it a lot when I was a kid."

The fear of causing unintentional harm held her back, making her resort to a more conventional method - climbing.

Balancing on a thick branch, she reached out with steady fingers and plucked the frightened feline from its perch. Holding the cat carefully in her arms, she smiled with relief. However, fate had a different plan in mind. As she began her descent, her foot slipped on a particularly slick patch of bark. Her heart raced as she lost her balance, hanging upside down in the tree, cat still in her arms.

Just at that moment, Kento Nanami happened to walk by, his sharp gaze taking in the rather perplexing sight before him - a person suspended upside down in a tree with a cat in her arms He couldn't help but freeze, his astonishment evident in the way his eyebrows twitched ever so slightly.

"Are you okay up there?" he finally managed to ask, his voice a blend of surprise and concern.

She let out an undignified scream, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I-I'm fine, just... dealing with a little tree situation."

Nanami couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the predicament, an incredulous expression briefly passing over his features. He swiftly regained his composure and offered her a hand to help her down. "Here, let me assist you."

She blinked in surprise, her cheeks still tinted pink as she took his hand. As she was pulled back to solid ground, her back was leaning to his chest. She stumbled slightly but regained her footing with the cat held close to her chest.

"Thank you," she muttered, her voice a mix of gratitude and slight mortification.

Nanami studied her for a moment, his analytical gaze assessing the situation. "You seem to have quite the affinity for getting into unusual scenarios."

She chuckled nervously, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I guess you could say that."

The cat squirmed in her arms, and she finally set it down, watching it scamper off with a mixture of relief and fondness.

"Aren't you supposed to be meeting Yaga-sensei?" She gave him a side glance, her curiosity getting the better of her.

Nanami fixed his posture and nodded in response. He glanced at his watch, a hint of realization crossing his face. "Ah, I should be on my way now. Yaga-sensei doesn't appreciate tardiness."

She nodded, realising he had taken his time to assist her. "I appreciate your help."

Nanami nodded, and with that, he continued on his way. She watched him go, grateful for his unexpected kindness and the brief moment of connection.
