I wake up to find myself in an unrecognizable place.  "Where am I?" I say aloud.  "Ah, you are awake I see." I hear someone say. 

  What the heck??  I sit up and look around.  I see a guy with pointy ears and black long hair looking at me.  "Who are you people??" I ask.  "I am Lord Elrond, welcome to Rivendell a place of the Elves.  What is your name girl?" the guy says.

  Elves? Rivendell?? This is getting very weird.. what is my name?? I don't know, who am I???  I reply, "I don't know what my name is or who I am..."

  An elf in armor comes running and says something in a language I do not know.

  Lord  Elrond says something back in the same language.

  "Stay here," Elrond  says talking regular this time and went away.

I nod but am rather curious.  I get up silently and follow Elrond silently.   When he stops he is outside and on chairs is a bushy bearded man, some elves, two men, one wizard looking guy, and a small person.  I hide behind some pillars.

  "Watch it!" A little person whispers loudly.  "Sorry!" I whisper.  "Who are you?"  The he asks.  I reply,"I don't know what my name is or who I am.. you?" 

  "I'm Mary, and over there is Pippin."  I look over to another pillar and saw an almost exact look a like of Mary.  (Is that how you spell his name?"

  "What are the people, dwarves and elves doing?"  I whisper.  "They're having a secret council meeting." Mary replied and filled me in.

When he finished Elrond was saying something.   Suddenly a hobbit jumped out of the bushes.  "That's Sam, Frodo's friend and gardener." Mary whispers.

  Elrond started talking again.  Mary whispers excitedly to me, "Hey!  I've got an idea!  How about you join us?"  I quickly think things over and nod.

  Before Elrond stops talking Mary and Pippin rush to Frodo's side and says something.  While Pippin is talking Mary makes a coming gesture.  I hope this is a good idea! I think to myself.

I walk out from behind the pillars and say, "Lord Elrond may I join Frodo and the others on their journey? "  He had a look of shock and say, "What are you doing here?  I thought I told you to stay!"

  I confess, "I followed you.. I was curious..  I know what the quest is about.. I want to go on this quest because besides wanting to help Frodo destroy the Ring, I want to find out who I am. "

  Pippin and Mary whooped and yelled, "Let her join Lord Elrond!!"  Mean while Aragorn , Legolas and Gimli protested, "A girl will slow us down!"

  Gandalf the wizard looked amused and said, "How about we vote for this?  All in favor of allowing the girl to join the Fellowship of the Ring raise your hand."  Elrond, Frodo, Sam, the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Mary, Pippin raise their hands.

  "All in favor of not letting the girl join raise your hand,"

Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and Boromir raised their hands.

  Gandalf says, "Six think the girl should join, four think she should not.  We should let the girl join.  Even if she has no memory, or does not know how to handle a weapon, however she has a good reason to join."

  Hmm, I think I'm beginning to like this wizard.  Lord Elrond nodded and said, "Very well, the Fellowship of the Ring has a new member. "

  I walked over and stood with the others.
