'Excuse me? Can you bless my baby?'

The blinding light. The cawing of birds. The gentle sway and rustle of the leaves were just starting to change color to accommodate the approaching fall seasons.

Those were the first few things he remembered.

No....That wasn't everything that he remembered.

Instead, his first recollection was the blinding white lights of the hospital that irritated his eyes even under the protection of his lids.

The robotic beeping of a heart monitor.

Where was he? A new body?

'Open your eyes.'

He found himself staring at the person hovering above him.

At the electric blue hair that decorated his head.

Who was this?

He felt his small body being handed off to another person.

The soft, delicate voice of the woman that held him reached his ears. Even though he couldn't comprehend the words being said.

He managed to see an unknown expression on the woman's face as she handed his body to another person.

Maybe his silence was alarming to them.

'Cry.'

Opening his small mouth only to be greeted by radio silence. The person holding him made a peculiar noise, opening their own mouth and looking at the blue man.

Peculiar...Peculiar was the one word the boy always used to describe things around him, the word was constantly on loop within his brain.

Everything around him was a new experience, from the changes of the seasons to the passing of time, everything was new.

But the routine of his life was also apparent. From waking up...To falling asleep.

It was like he was looping every day with minor changes happening day in and out.

Like at age two.

Where he had taken his first steps while his father was taking a call. One that was most likely related to his work.

And his son had shakily walked over, placing small hands on his father's leg, something which made the stoic man give the smallest smile to his son.

Or, at age four, while his mother was peacefully cooking dinner, he sat on a nearby chair, playing with a stuffed bear his father had gotten him.

How he heard a quiet 'Oh goodness.' from his mother.

It caused him to open his mouth, letting out a  soft "Oh goodness." Of his own.

It made her look over at him with wide eyes before hastily walking to him, greeting him with a smile rivaling the sun's shine in the sky.

Praising him for finally finding his voice.

Though it wasn't frequent after that. He rarely spoke...Similar to his father.
