Ritika's pov

Life has been incredibly unpredictable for me. My childhood was a disaster, marked by a lack of positive experiences. However, in the present, the mere presence of a single person has illuminated my life with newfound brightness and joy.

I have a habit of contemplating life while driving, reflecting on whether it aligns with my plans. My thoughts were interrupted by the ringing sound of my phone. Seeing Rohan's ID on the call, I promptly parked the car on the side of the road and answered.

As soon as I picked up his call, he asked, "Riti, aap kidhar hai, mai apni office par hu, aap mujhe lene aa sakti ho kya?" I replied, "Okay, I am coming," and then hung up. Glancing at my finger with the ring, a thought struck me, and I decided to treat him like my prince.

I went to a flower shop and bought his favorite flowers, white roses, symbolizing purity and new beginnings in a  relationship. After that, I headed to a bakery to pick up his favorite cheesecake, a treat that always makes his mouth water.

As soon as I reached his office and was about to move out inorder to open the seat beside me so that he could sit but i saw him with one girl who was tall , beautiful having thick brown hair , I think she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my entire life , that's when insecurities and jealousy crept inside me,making me hesitant to open the seat beside me for him.

As they settled in the backseat, engrossed in conversation, the girl eventually noticed me. She asked Rohan, "Darling, who is she?" His reply left me speechless and teary-eyed, as he referred to me as a family friend. I fought to stay strong, not wanting to show my vulnerable side, especially in front of him and this woman.

The woman said ," Hi girl , I am Lara , Take us to Lara Enterprises."

" I am Ritika and I am sorry but the way you have been speaking is not what I expect so I hope you would cooperate nicely while seating inside my car otherwise I won't take a second throwing you guys out of here."
My words made her look more furious than before and our conversation was interrupted by Rohan as he asked me pointing to the flowers, "Whose are these?" I replied, "Oh, a guy gave them to me at the hospital," fabricating a story to shield myself from the potential embarrassment he might be causing me.

As they told me to drop them  off at Lara Enterprises, I left without a word. What shocked me was that Rohan didn't even thank me or say goodbye. The girl acted as if she had a fractured leg, and Rohan carried her in a bridal style. I sped away to my hospital, feeling a mix of emotions.

I was driving so fast, overwhelmed by the fear of losing someone again, especially when Rohan had grown so close to me. I parked my car at the hospital and quickly gathered my team, informing them that we were heading to the earthquake relief camp.

I initially planned to send my other team to another hospital so I could spend time with Rohan, but now it seemed like those plans were about to shatter. To clear my mind, I called my mom, letting her know about the relief camp and informing her that I would come home to pack my essentials.

I went home, packing my essentials, and my mom came in, asking, "Kuch huwa hai kya?" I replied with a smile, "Nahi ma, kuch nahi huwa hai." She responded, "Ma hu mai teri, thik hai, ache se jana," and then she hugged me. That's when a lone tear escaped from my eye.

I noticed Rohan's name on my caller ID, but I didn't answer. Instead, I headed to the earthquake-stricken area where widespread destruction had occurred. Upon finding some network coverage, I sent a text to my mom, letting her know I had arrived.
