In Mayas family, she had 1 older brother, a mum and a dad, and they all lived in a 4 bedroomed house. Their house was located in rosewood, Philadelphia.
Her brother was in his last year of high school, and always went to play basketball and football with his friends after school.
Her mum was 38, and worked as a p.e teacher in a local primary school. In her free time she loved to cook and made various things on the sowing machine someone had brought her for last Christmas.
Her dad was the coach for the baseball team, and always loved being the leader. In his spare time, he secretly danced, if ever he thought he was the only one in the house.
Unlike the rest of her family, who were obviously very sporty, Maya hated sports, and spent most of her time shopping, or playing the violin.
Maya always dreamed that one day she would become more like her family and finally fit in.
